"Portraits of past inn guests lined the walls (presidents, actors, writers). It was a unique historical hotel. We liked the fenced parking area and the beautiful lobby. Breakfast was good. Our only suggestions are that there is no fan in the newly refurbished bathroom, which had a musty smell. "The BW Inn felt very cozy and safe. There was plenty of parking, and the attention to detail throughout the property was impressive. I had a minor issue with the bedding during my stay, but the staff resolved it promptly. They had a very nice breakfast. "I loved the architecture and historical photographs. The room was clean. The hallway leading to the room had a strong unpleasant odor, but the room smelled better. We were able to let the fresh air in with large windows. The restaurant, Tomo, was great! The shower flooded the bathroom floor because the water pressure was so high it splattered on the floor even with the shower curtain draped inside the tub. Great black out curtains, but you can hear everyone's business as they laughed and...

"Because of the Marathon thru the Avenue of the Giants was this weekend, it was very hard to find a room. This was the only place available and even though the rates were extremely high, we were pleasantly surprised with the property and staff. the early breakfast was an added benefit before we hit the road to the Redwood National Parks. I would stay there again if in the area. Front desk staff was very helpful."

"Handicapped bathroom.had two showerheads, one didn’t work. Shower had a clear strip on the floor that was all dirty black. Also had a black rubberized mat in front of shower, very dirty. Sink had something jammed in drain and water started filling up sink. Not very clean."
