"Few days ago I paid $210/night plus $50 valet parking in a “fancy” hotel in Indianapolis, what a waste of money. For $63 in American Motor Inn I got the same bed size and comfort and much better sleep. The location is safe, quiet and they have parking. The young man at the reception is kind and friendly. Great customer service. Rock Island is a very beautiful place and in few minutes drive you can visit Davenport, Iowa. We’re definitely recommend this motel and we’re planning on coming back...

"An era is about to end as Barbara closes the doors on October 7, 2025. This was a wonderful experience, made so by Barbara and her family and the other guests. The house, over 100 yrs old, is feeling its age but still has much to offer, with antiques and many stories of happy guests. We had a delightful time and a fabulous breakfast before we left."
