"Very welcoming hotel, modern and comfortable. Staff very helpful throughout (reception, breakfast room…). Were very gracious when we asked to swap one of our rooms for a shower room instead of bath for a person in our group with mobility issues. Very clean and well maintained - a discrete, clean scent welcomes you in the corridors and rooms. Buffet breakfast is of good quality, replenished when needed. Could not be closer to the sanctuary, great location for anyone with mobility issues. ...

"I arrived late 20.30h. There was coloured LED light blown up on the castle in blue, red and green. It looked weird and out of place. I woke the friendly owner from a nap on the couch. The room was dated but ok clean. What really got me was the bottled water in the room. It had been opened and perhaps refilled (?), there was a substance on the edge of it. I did not drink it. "

"Staff were very nice and helpful, hotel very convenient short Walkman to the sanctuary, room was spacious enough but what made the stay terrible were the beds. The mattresses were almost non existent, they were so thin you felt the boards underneath. It’s not an exaggeration. Our backs ached so much and we could not sleep , it was terrible."

"This family owned hotel is in the heart of Cauterets. The hotel is older and is evident when you walk the stairs and hallways where you can feel the slant in the floors. The room was very large and clean, with older french style furniture and curtains. The bathroom is very modern and had a large soaking tub. Like many French bathrooms, the toilet was in a separate “closet” outside the main bathroom, and although this is a bit odd at least this one had a hand sink inside. The breakfast was...

"Our host Elisabeth was wonderful. Nothing was too much. Friendly and spoke any great English thankfully which made our stay very positive. The room was great and so was the bathroom and toilet. The bedroom over overlooked the alps. Breakfast was tasty and fresh. The meal that was prepared on arrival (precooked) was delicious prepared and cooked with her own fair hand.
