Staff was beyond amazing. The location is one of the best to walk and clean. Free parking helps a lot. Window and AC can be upgraded. Overall, I will return back. The manager is very friendly and welcoming.

Location is really good. close to food places and UofOttawa. Room was clean; shared bathroom was ok clean. extra parking fees of $45CAD was a surprise.

Tout à mal été dans ce voyage- premièrement, il s’agissait d’un logement partagé, ce qui n’était pas clair dans l’annonce. Les toilettes étaient minuscules. Le pire c’est que le prix a changé tout au long, on m’a accepté à 450 dollars pour 4 jours et ensuite on m’a envoyés un message pour me dire que c’était le prix était avait monter 1918 dollars pour ensuite confirmer que l’on allait me charger 440 tel déterminé par contre, sur place on m’´a chargé 650 dollars. Nous avons quitté après la première nuit . À moins d’être seul et mal pris je ne pense pas que ça vaille le coût. Une expérience très décevante

small rooms, small shared bathrooms, small shared kitchenette, many rules but no service. no communication with the management. this is a stay of last resort if you can find nothing else for a night or two.

The hotel cancelled my reservation the day before I was supposed to check, claiming that I was supposed to have paid in advance, which is not what Hotels.com required. It's the worse possible thing that could happen to a traveler--and especially so since every decent hotel in Ottawa is fully booked this week. It will forever give me pause before using Hotels.com again. You should ban that little hotel from your site. Foul, foul, foul.

Booked a room with private bathroom. Description did not say bathroom was not in room. Others were using the bathroom. Messaged the host was told to lock it! Very old poorly kept house. It’s a dorm style for students, and cost me $578 for the night! Do not recommend this place. I did let the property owner know of the bathroom issue they offered to refund me some but have not seen any refund.

Dear Expedia Customer Support, I am writing to formally complain about my recent hotel stay booked through Expedia. Unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing due to several serious issues. First, the cleanliness of the room was far below acceptable standards. Upon entering, I found human hair on the bed and visible stains on the bed linens. This clearly indicated that the room had not been properly cleaned prior to my arrival, which was completely unacceptable and raised serious concerns about the hotel’s hygiene standards. Secondly, I discovered a serious safety issue with the bathroom faucet.The hot and cold water controls were reversed—the handle marked “Cold” dispensed hot water, while the handle marked “Hot” dispensed cold water. This created a significant safety hazard and could easily result in burns or other injuries. In addition, the room I was assigned at check-in was different from the room I had originally booked through Expedia. This change was made without any prior notice or my consent. Furthermore, the actual room I received did not match the photos and description displayed on the Expedia listing.

This is rooming house accommodation. While the property was clean, I misunderstood the listing. I thought it was a kitchenette suite. Bathrooms are shared; kitchen is shared. Sleeping rooms are very small. It was quiet, the other guests were very respectful, and the manager was responsive and thoughtful. The name is a bit misleading, as there is not much heritage left in the old house. The location is convenient to the O-train at uOttawa, and buses; it is in a nice old neighbourhood full of students and families, and it is within very easy walking distance of Parliament Hill, as well as Byward Market, if you like walking the city.
Very convenient location next to uOttawa.
10-minute walk to the canal.
Great walking in the area.
Nice old neighbourhood.

The merchant grossly misrepresented the safety, cleanliness, and privacy of the property. I booked a 13-night stay for my employee. Upon arrival, the property presented severe health, safety, and privacy violations. My employee felt unsafe and checked out early after 3 nights. I immediately contacted the merchant to notify them of the emergency checkout, detailed the health/safety failures, and requested a refund for the remaining 10 unused nights. The merchant has refused to issue a refund. The listing promised a "private washroom." In reality, the washroom was located across a public hallway and was actively being used by other unknown individuals. The bedroom door has gaps at both the top and the bottom so massive that individuals in the public hallway can look directly into the room. This represents a critical failure to provide a secure or safe environment. The front door molding is peeling and covered in visible black mold. The shower was heavily covered in soap scum and grime upon arrival. The mattress is heavily worn and degraded. The showerhead is broken/unadjustable, pinned tightly against the wall, making the shower unusable. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

The "Host: did not answer the door after I knocked on it and rang the doorbell. The neighbour phoned the "host" for me, and she still refused to open the door saying I had no reservation. That neighbour told me it happens all the time, that they abandon their guests at the door. So I was without a room on a Friday night of a long weekend. Ruined the whole trip.

The property did not meet the expectations from the pictures. Tried to cancel as soon as we checked in but the owner said no. We ended up checking out earlier than we were expected. Took the $$$ loss.
