"The cabin was fantastic, very clean and tidy - most of all very, very quiet. The attention from the female caretaker was outstanding, she made sure everything was to our satisfaction, all in all a great stay. Would recommend to anyone to stay there."

"We stayed 2 nights in the ‘deluxe’ double room No 4 directly behind reception. The self check-in process was very easy to use. I suspect like everyone else we were there to do the Alpine Crossing. So in that context it suited us fine, only a few minutes drive to the pickup point. The room was en-suite, the shower was okay once it warmed up and it had a decent TV with a range of channels. The kitchen was well equipped. Overall very good value."

"Fabulous location. Our Google Maps took us way out of the way. You can drive to the hotel in 2 minutes from the Harappa visitor center. The waterfall hike leaves from there parking lot. Great views from restaurant aas well as from backpackers eating area. Staff is super nice."

"It looks like the place has been going thru renovations. The room has new kitchen and floor, may be carpet too. It is about 15-20 min. to the NP visitor center and many thrailheads and has restaurants and supermarket nearby. Since the room has full pane glass as wall and access door along the corridor ( much like patio door ) which allows full view of the mountains and also tenants walking on the corridor. For privacy, you need to close the curtain."

"The bed was comfy, room was cozy, close to national park and restaurants. Hot tub area needs some attention. Chairs were worn and cushions moldy. No instructions on how to work hot tub. TV only has 13 channels. Otherwise perfect for 1 night."

"Our unit was a stand alone cottage, very spacious and very clean. We used the town as a launching point for some hiking expeditions and found its location to be perfect. It is located smack dab in the middle of everything. A four minute walk to the grocery store. There were a large number of cafes and bakeries to choose from within five minutes of us and the city info centre was located next to us. We would not hesitate to return."

"Mieliśmy bardzo udany pobyt w Tongariro River Retreat. Ian naprawdę bardzo się stara i jest wspaniałym gospodarzem - ogromnie dziękujemy za wszelką życzliwość i pomoc!!! Pokój był czysty i wystarczający na 2 dniowy pobyt, dodatkowo do dyspozycji Gości jest bardzo przestronna i w pełni wyposażona kuchnia a także bardzo przestronny salon. Serdecznie polecamy i z całego serca dziękujemy za gościnę!🙂"

"Location was ok,food was good,the town centre food options could have been better we would go back and do more of the river walk,staff helpful issue with tv but that got fixed."

"The Grove Turangi accommodation was lovely, easy to reach and very clean. There was parking right in front of the place. Check-in was super easy and straightforward with clear instructions. The hosts were very friendly. As an extra bonus, there was a sauna, which we really enjoyed. All in all, it was a very nice stay and we definitely recommend it! "

"What wonderful accommodations on beautiful grounds right by Lake Taupo! Was getting nervous on our road trip that there was nothing out here, but Tongariro Lodge exceeded any expectations. We stayed in a very comfortable villa, did a load of laundry, and enjoyed a delicious breakfast. Would highly recommend!"
