"We stayed at Pony Island passing through Ocracoke last year. We were so impressed that we intentionally booked to stay there on our way through again this year. The place is simple. No frills. It’s super clean, though, and the staff is fantastic! The restaurant on the property has good food and good service and the pool has been well maintained during both of our stays. "

"Staff was friendly and the room was as described or better. Keep in mind this is an older facility, however appears to be maintained and upgraded much nicer than others in the area I have stayed at recently. I would definitely stay again."

"This was a last minute stay since we did not plan on going to Outer Banks. The hotel was one of the few on the beach and located right as you enter Buxton. I chose this hotel because of prior reviews & happy that I did. The room was clean and comfortable and included a small kitchenette. There were a few eating places within walking distance & a very nice grocery store (Conner’s) a quick 3 min drive away "
