"In a holiday full of excellent hotels this one felt like a standout stay - a cute little building not far from the station (and, more importantly, the fish market, with genuinely lovely staff and excellent amenities. We arrived quite early, too early to check in, and were given a drink and told about the hotel before leaving our bags to explore. The room was delightful, a good size, a well stocked fridge of complementary drinks, a unit to dry clothes as part of the shower and a comfortable bed....

It is the house of a samouraï built 150 years ago but with all the modern conveniences: air conditioned in every room, TV, WiFi, fonctional kitchen and even a washer/drier. "Breakfast is excellent. Free Ramen at night and it is quite delicious. Too many people in the onsen from 9 to 12, should avoid this period. Bed in room is very comfortable so that I can sleep well. Japanese style hotel with good location is spacious and comfy. Highly recommend and will come again. Only cons is you have to take off your shoes and wear only socks when moving around the hotel. Imagine if the suitcase wheels were dirty; you might not want to walk along the path your suitcase...
