"From the moment you walk in, everything was well arranged. Staff is friendly, hotel has gorgeous art and has a sense of serenity in a bustling city like Rio. It’s worth its 5 stars and awards! The buildings in Santa Teresa are lovely and there are quite a few restaurants in walking distance also close to the Steps. Overall I felt safe in this neighbourhood and I would definitely stay at this hotel again!"

"Good room, bad internet"

"Room was spacious, clean and the views from this hotel are breathtaking from the rooftops to the breakfast buffet. Breakfast buffet phenomenal with so many varieties of food, even had an ice cream station. Front desk staff very friendly, professional and are bilingual. Location is perfect. Uber station pick up/drop off conveniently in front of hotel. Can walk through hotel on the upper floor straight to the adjacent mall. Rooms are sound proof quiet. Several lounges casual and upscale. "The staff was nice a hotel was clean. Might be an unsafe neighborhood for non locals as I did get my phone snatched late at night and the locals told me it happens often in this area"

"Clean room"

"Hotel Villa Rica is a great place to stay, and there are great examples of street art on the walls of buildings, and there is an area which is home to the famous Chilean artist Jorge Selarón Just around the corner. There are great places to eat, and it is also close to an area called Cinelandia. Staff are very welcoming, the breakfast (buffet) is very good and great shower and comfortable room."
