"The room was clean, modern and with all of the basics. I met my husband there for his second night and he assured me that it was clean and didn't smell bad. Well, my husband can hardly smell anything! When I arrived and met my husband outside, his clothes had a really funny, not-good smell, like my grandparents old house. And sure enough, it was the room! Now granted, I have a very acute sense of smell, more than most. Opening the windows to air it out helped a bit. After a while, I got used to it and was able to sleep ok. I did need to wash all of my clothing upon returning home. It was clean, and the grounds were lovely with planters full of flowers. And if your nose is like my husband's, you won't even notice the old-building smell!"

"The room was clean and the front desk was friendly and efficient. We arrived late at night and requested an extra toothbrush. We also got wine glasses for the bottle of wine given to us. The AC was very noisy and the walls were porous. Noise travels easily from the outside."

"Great location for events at Stanford. Super helpful staff and great amenities. However, I gave an overall 4 rating because: Parking was sometimes difficult to find because we needed handicap access—and it’s $20 a night extra. Not enough charging stations for electric vehicles. There was only one elevator working our entire 4 night stay. With athletes from different teams staying here as well, getting an elevator was nearly impossible without a 10-15 minute wait. I would think it was important enough to get someone in to fix it in a more timely manner. "
