Hôtel Le Colombier

"This hotel is in a fairly old and renovated building. Our room required some agility and care to navigate, but there is a range of layouts for other rooms. Staff was great, as was the location in old town area. Private parking was fill, but public pay parking was just in front of the hotel. A couple of maintenance items needed to be addressed (bent shelf in shower, broken light switch, and non- working light over the sink), but nice overall. Access to the in-room bathroom required climbing a flight of metal stairs, and some areas of the room had low sloped ceilings, but we adjusted to that fairly quickly. Good breakfast."

"This is an excellent hotel for it's class, in fact, better than some 4-star hotels. Although the building is undistinguished, don't let that throw you. The welcoming and friendly staff, on-site parking and outstanding breakfast (both included in the price), comfortable, clean rooms, generous room amenities and location (easy walk to town center) are a fantastic value. I'd be very happy to stay here again."

"The apartment was very nice but is in need of some maintenance. Lights were burned out at the bedside & a plug receptacle was partially pulled out of the wall, also at the bedside. The drapes in the living room area, were coming off the hanging hardware. The staff were great & very helpful. The next issue is really a Hotels.com issue. When we tried to navigate to any location on our trip(rental car was used), the location of each property came up on the navigation system as Unknown Location instead of the name of the property. Thus, we found our selves on busy unfamiliar streets close to but not exactly at the front entrance of the facility. Also, specific information regarding actual location to where to park for each facility would be helpful. In many cases, the actual property name is not the exact name on the front of the hotel/apartment."

"Fabulous hotel in a beautiful village, two minutes walk to the train station (for Colmar and Strasbourg) and there is plenty of safe parking outside the hotel. All the staff were very helpful, we didn’t take the breakfast but it did look very nice."
