"Highly recommended, especially if you're using it as a central base to explore the High Weald hiking trails and local National Trust properties. The bedrooms are really a story of two parts here. The old wing feels quite dated with older, functional furniture, lacks air conditioning, and tends to get quite hot. The new wing is the exact opposite, much more modern and nicely cooled. Both areas are kept spotless! Just a heads-up if you need a firm bed: the mattresses are extremely soft and tend to dip in the middle. Breakfast covers all the standard items and is perfectly fine, but the highlight is the setting. The views from both the dining room and the bar terrace overlooking the golf course are beautiful, serene, and calming. We also had lunch and dinner at the restaurant. the menu is versatile, well-presented, and really tasty. The staff deserve a special mention, polite, warm, and genuinely doing their best to accommodate requests . The swimming pool is on the smaller side, but it also overlooks the golf course, stays clean, and was never crowded during our stay."

"The staff were very friendly on check in. Room was very clean could have done with a chair. The mini fridge and breakfast basket in the room was a very pleasent surprise. Restaurant is not open most days anymore due to no chef. Pubs coffee shops and takeaways are very close to the hotel to get a meal."

"Limited parking in an old fashioned Harveys pub with rooms & a restaurant. Stayed on a Thursday which transpires too be 'steak night' so menu was limited on the evening but what was offered seemed good quality at a reasonable price. Would stay again if in the area. Also, really helpful / friendly staff."

"This location is an idealistic base for many attractions in the area. A lovely private cottage feel property with its own patio. Vast main bedroom, excellent facilities with a roll top bath, well stocked kitchenette and modern AV and WiFi. Private, secluded, secure and quiet. Excellent owner. Will definitely use the Coach again. 10/10."

"This house is just beautiful. Set in the grounds of, and next door to the owners own house, it has its own patio with table and chairs and views down the long lawn towards the fields beyond. One of the bedrooms has a balcony with seating which is perfect for an evening wine. Ample on site parking on the drive, it is located in a quiet road but a only short walk to a decent pub that does food Wed -Sun. The house is spotless, comfortable and exceptionally well equipped. The owners are lovely and so welcoming. The welcome pack was a lovely touch with local bread and butter and milk. Honestly couldn't recommend this property highly enough. The village of Hawkhurst is very accessible, by car, to loads of interesting, historic and beautiful places to visit. The village also has a Waitrose, Tesco superstore and petrol stations. Would stay here again in a heartbeat. "

"We had the most wonderful time staying at the Hobbit Hole. The property was incredible: well looked after and very clean. Everything has been very well thought out. We thoroughly enjoyed gazing at the scenery out the window and enjoying the peaceful area."
