"Excellent facilities, nice and clean. Staff is very helpful. I would make more fish/seafood choices at the buffet and less meat. Also, the actual beach which I understand ids not really the hotel’s property is there, but the water is not very clean. But the swimming pool is great. In genrral, excellent all inclusive"

"Great hotel with wonderful facilities. Food in the buffet was very good. We ate in the basilico restaurant once and that was excellent. Lots of other little restaurants around the premises. Pools were lovely and, despite the inevitable idiots getting up at 6 to back sun loungers, we always managed to find somewhere to sit."

"Great food options (buffet unusually trumps the a la carte restaurant), friendly staff and great location with a fantastic outdoor and indoor pool. Housekeeping a bit inconsistent and bathrooms look/feel dated and not 5* standards, but minor gripes overall."

"Fantastic hotel and stay. All staff members were extremely friendly and helpful. I was even surprised with a cake on my birthday :). The hotel bars and breakfast were all great. There are many restaurants within walking distance and there are also several restaurants at the hotel although I did not visit those. The pools are very nice, the ocean access is great for an island with few beaches, and the ocean views are lovely. There is music every night at the bar and plenty to do at the hotel! The room itself was very clean and refreshed frequently. This is a 5 star hotel for a reason"

"Beautiful views from virtually everywhere on the property. Great location close to downtown Funchal, but far enough away for the area to feel quiet and calm. Nice restaurants in the vicinity. The hotel staff were excellent! Professional, friendly, and helpful. Received an upgrade at check-in to a fantastic room with an even more amazing private deck overlooking the Atlantic. Buffet breakfast was good. Overall, the property was great, hated to leave."
