Soviet/ Chinese style hotel…3 stars at best
I would say this hotel needs a lot of work. As soon as we checked in, the toilet wasn’t working, there was a bag of garbage left by the previous person staying there, They were shampoo and body wash, but no conditioner, overall the place looks like an old Soviet/ Chinese hotel… in no Way, Is This , a four star hotel let alone a five star. The people were great, The hotel next-door, Jumirah is a better option.

We didn't even stay. We went to the restaurant upstairs to have a beer and some food to wait for our room to be ready for check in (after 2pm). Spent 45 minutes and all we got was a beer. Extremely slow service. We were directed to our room and it was a disaster. Smelled terrible!. Mold in the room, dirty...it was really bad. We called our driver and went somewhere else. We did not get out money back, because of the cancellation policy. Still happy to be able to leave and stay at a different and clean place.

I've noticed that this hotel needs lots of renovation on their rooms and facilities to compensate for the price their offer. The room is big however you can feel that it is not maintained properly. Breakfast menu were not great either, luckily the view from the rooftop is spectacular. You need to arrange your own transport if you want to stay here as the location is very isolated.

It was a pretty clean establishment with a very nice rooftop. The staff were kind as well. We did not have the best stay as it was not how it was advertised and we did not get what we were promised in our reservation. I had reserved a deluxe room with a view. I assume we received the deluxe room but got a view of the parking lot instead of the water. There was also construction going on right next to our room for the entirely of our stay that did not stop. When we asked about when it would be over, they told us it was only for the day we checked in, so we assumed it would be done. Instead it continued and when we brought it up again, they gave us vouchers for anything on the menu (which was very nice). We did try to redeem them for lunch but apparently only counted for very specific dishes. This didn’t matter much. The one aspect that gives the low rating is that we were missing half a door on our balcony but no one told us. Our last night I went to re-lock the door before we went to bed but noticed some air flow behind the curtain. I thought someone had broke into our room. Turns out we just did not have a door and we’re not made aware of this. Overall an ok stay and if we hadn’t run into these issues my review would be much more positive.

The hotel looked a nice hotel ten years ago that has fallen under bad times. The cleanliness of the rooms and the common spaces was pool. Mold and stains in every corner, around shower, and the toilet, at each point of contact with the ground. There was constant construction and noise. Prices in the restaurant on the roof were way too high for the venue. I would not recommend this hotel to a friend and will not be returning.

Absolutely terrible. The staff had no idea what they were doing when we arrived which worked out as a blessing as we went for a walk around the facilities. This place needs a lot of care. It is terribly run down. Mould has taken over everything. The pool was green. The kids pool looked like a swamp with green slim and tiles loosely sitting in the bottom of the pool. The deck was rotten and we went through the timber - they put a rubber mat over it to cover. Couldn’t walk down to the beach as it was too slippery with thick black mould. We went to have lunch but the restaurant was filthy! The hotel smelt bad. We ended up getting our money refunded and we left before we went to the room. This place needs to be shut as it is a major health hazard. Toxic mould everywhere!

5 stars for what...?
The overall experience was bad, mostly due to my constantly having to hunt someone down for something that was either missing or broken. When I first arrived there was now arm water in the bathtub neither was the mini-bar functioning properly. I made the staff aware of this repeatedly without any avail. Later on I discovered the lock to the balcony door was broken, and this was fixed first after several hours. The housekeeping kept taking dirty towels without leaving new ones, and in the pool area which was never too busy, they kept running out of towels to lend to guests. In all a very disappointing stay.

Staffs are very nice. However rooms needs a bit of renovating, you can see scratches and cracks in the outdoor area and the bathroom. Overall experience is top notch.

I called ahead and there was someone to meet us at midnight. That was good...but I dropped my wallet in the lobby and it was NOT returned. I had to cancel my credit cards etc...It's not a high end resort.

Rooftop sunsets.
NIce place, close to a great beach but far from anything else, you will need transportation to do anything. But the beach and sunset are fantastic.

The staff is amazing; friendly, accommodating & sweet! The location is a bit far but we enjoyed the serenity it afforded us. The beach was a plus although those steps are a killer esp coming bk up...if we were to stay for an extended period they would def get me in shape! The bathroom could use some spruce up in terms of the blackness in the corners...not sure if tis mold. A part from that the property & staff are great!

My wife and I came here for the last two days of our honeymoon after a two week stay in Bali. The low price and nice pictures lured us in. This was our mistake. First off, this hotel was built in an area where all of the locals were forcefully removed so they could build a resort area. We didn’t know this until our driver told us this. I hate knowing I’m supporting that, even though it happened in the 90s. The hotel is rated 5 stars (supposedly), but it doesn’t compare to 3 star hotels we’ve stayed at. It’s frankly a disaster. The rooms smell like a sewer. There is mold in the rooms and public areas. The air conditioning broke our second night. The hotel is still under construction so we woke up at 7 am to crashing noises. The bar and food are not good (I did not have any issues with Bali belly in two weeks, but got sick my 2nd day at the hotel. My wife also got sick). I don’t blame the junior staff - they are doing their best based on how they were trained. This is a complete failure of management and leadership. Also, again, this is simply not a 5 star hotel. I cannot state this strongly enough: do NOT stay here. All you will get is a nice view from the roof.

The hotel was nice and the staff very friendly! Although to get around the taxi’s were very expensive and we didn’t get very good advise on certain things! We were also were given an adjoining room, which was very noisy and we had to ask to be moved!

Enjoyed our stay there. Rooftop pool was nice. Breakfast buffett was excellent. Room was clean and spacious. Stairs lead down to Dreamland Beach, one of my favorites in Bali. Amazing sunsets here. Overall, a great stay.

Amazing hotel, great rooms but the shower was a bit weak. Beautiful grounds overlooking the beach on one side and the golf course on the other from the rooftop pool. Simple but efficient gym, amazing service from incredible polite staff with great English.

Resort is nice and luxuries. Staff aren’t friendly, breakfast buffet doesn’t meet the hotel grade. every time we called front desk, was no answer, there was a charge for Ice !! You can’t really see the ocean from inside the pool. Beach is 5 min walk off the resort, public beach and to get a beach chair is $10 usd. There isn’t much in area. We stayed two nights, went to Jimbaran one night and the other to Uluwatu temple each 30 min away.

This is a 5 star hotel that does not have any rollaway beds. We paid for the price of 3 guests and the the hotel offered the 3rd person a mattress right on top of the floor as their "bed". Even 3 star hotels could do better.

Its located very far from the city center, there are no shops, supermarkets, pharmacies, restaurants, or anything for atleast a mile. There is almost nothing to eat for breakfast, the only 2 bakery items are always old and not freshly cooked. Breakfast was a big disappointment. The property is very old and dirty. The staff are rude and unpleasant. There are no robs. The towels were so old they changed their color.

Llama resort has got to be one of the nicest resorts I have ever stayed in. They have thought of everything. The rooms are large and clean and have a bathroom the size of most hotel rooms. They had a fantastic laundry service and after 10 days of traveling before going on for another this was a blessing also they were able to get our clothes back the same day folded and pressed. The staff could not have been nicer and will go above and beyond even so much so that we were two hours early for check in and they offered us 15% off a treatment at the spa which was lovely both myself and my girlfriend had the reflexology treatment. If I am in Bali again I will only be staying at the Klapa Resort. Thank you for making our stay so wonderful

The Klapa Resort staff are absolutely wonderful! We really enjoyed the large rooms, access to the beach, spa and of course the highlight was the rooftop! We enjoyed lots of pool-side drinks and meals from the Klapa Breeze Rooftop Restaurant and Bar. (Staff member, Surya gets a shout-out for being so wonderful at attending the pool area). We would highly recommend this resort, however I would note that food and drinks are rather pricey, but really convenient.

Extremely disappointed. Food at the restaurant gave us a frozen pizza not even cooked well in the oven. The bbq was not a bbq. Needs a lot of maintenance and renovation. Nothing to do around the area. Staff were helpful. Would not recommend to anyone.
