Tanah Gajah was by far the most relaxing vacation my wife and I have ever had. From our villa with infiti pool looking on to the rice paddies to the private walled accomodation, the extensive beautifully designed gardens, wonderful food by chef Dean, everything superb!
Staff couldn’t do enough and everyone, from ground staff to housekeeping to management should be proud of your customer services, a truly fantastic experience, my wife and I can’t wait to come back.

Swastiastu!
Everything was top notch - the food, the people, the hospitality and the ambience. The spa was superb and the daily Balinese activities a fun way to learn some culture. The live performances especially were a standout. The whole resort is a mesh between traditional Balinese design with batiks, the Ramayana love story, and contemporary elements.
We recommend wholeheartedly without hesitation.

Staying at the
Emana Akatara hotel was truly wonderful.
The room was so spacious, beautiful and clean and very relaxing.
The pool area was relaxing and wonderful - and right next to the bar, so you can easily order drinks and snacks.
However was really sets the hotel apart
from anywhere else is the FANTASTIC staff, who all wanted to make sure you have the best time and made me feel so welcome. They are the most lovely young people I’ve meet in a very long time. They really represent Balinese...

We stayed for 3 nights in mid-October during a 12 day Bali holiday and this was by far the nicest of the 4 hotels we stayed in. The staff were wonderfully helpful and the hotel had a lovely peaceful air to it. Situated parallel to the main Monkey Forest road it's about a 10 min walk to get to the Ubud hustle and bustle (a regular shuttle bus is provided too), but from an unassuming entrance you enter an oasis on the edge of the forest. Rooms/bathrooms are great (we had a Forest room) and the...

We spent 4 days here. If you want privacy, this is the place to come - you have your own villa (with walled garden, deck and plunge pool), the "room" service is great. You'll have your breakfast on your deck (monkey situation permitting) or inside the villa. Talking about monkeys - the name "Monkey Forest" is not there for marketing only. The monkeys are regular visitors - at one afternoon we counted 16 of them in our garden - it was a bit scary, but a call to the front desk took care of them,...

This hotel is total paradise. The staff are extraordinarily friendly and helpful.
Happy hour at the hotel bar was great (try the lime daiquiri) and the breakfast was delicious. I recommend the waffles!
We had a garden suite and our room was beautiful, fantastic attention to detail and we would leave our room for 10 mins and come back and someone would have already been in to make the bed and change towels etc!
The hotel also offers a free shuttle service into the centre and back which is...

Incredible service from the staff and views of the jungle were spectacular. Exceeded my expectations.
Free yoga and morning walks available each day. Free shuttle bus into Ubud town several times a day. Rooms were very luxurious and comfortable. Very relaxing 4 nights here with my partner. Also very close to rafting centre if you wanted some activities. They also offer to book other tours with other companies for you and deal with all the logistics. Food was amazing, several courses just for...

We loved our 4 night stay at Maya Ubud! The hotel is secluded, in the middle of the jungle, and has 2 amazing infinity pools. The staff is super nice and helpful. Great spa in an incredible setting with very good treatments. The rooms are average though and the condition of the furniture not great.

We stayed in a one bed villa with a private pool, the villa itself was beautiful and spacious, the veranda and the private pool area have wonderful views, perfect at any time of day.
The complimentary mini bar, breakfast and afternoon tea were all wonderful, there was a great selection at breakfast and the staff looked after us very well, making sure that we had enough. The afternoon tea contained different sandwiches and cakes every day for our 5 days.
I will return as soon as possible.

Absolutely beautiful accomodation. The staff were super friendly and couldn't do enough for you. Having breakfast on your own terrace overlooking the rice paddies was perfect. It's a little out of the centre so lovely and relaxing but they offer a free taxi service into the main area so it's perfect!!

Wonderful hotel in a great location
Stayed here in May 2026 and would highly recommend this hotel.
The staff were amazing and looked after us throughout our 3 nights stay.
We booked the family three bedroom villa with private pool.
The pool was a good size and the kids made use of this every day.
Breakfast could be had in the restaurant (we did twice) or delivered to the room (we did once). The standard was always the same and always plentiful. The service when going into the restaurant was a...

This place has one of the best private pool villa for the given price. Although the road to the property is very poor and there is nothing scenic outside but inside the property it's like being in a beautiful rainforest.
Food:The restaurant service is amazing with a breakfast with limited options but better in taste and quality than any other breakfast buffets of a 5 star property. You must try their breakfast burrito and rice noodles, they were one of the best.

The Dwaraka was only 4 years old but had a fantastic old world jungle feel, the grounds and Architecture were stunning
but with the facilities of a very modern hotel. The staff were excellent and food very good. Would definitely stay here again.
