Lovely stay at Lamphey Hall .Tim met us and we instantly felt welcome, he is such a good host , welcoming everyone and engaging in conversation about our trip , letting everyone know about the area and what is going on . Breakfast was lovely, well organised and plentiful. We will definitely be staying again .

We booked last minute to take advantage of the beautiful weather . The hotel was easy to locate , plenty of Car Parking space and we were greeted by a very friendly host . The decor takes me back to hotel stays when i was younger in a very nostalgic way . We will definitely re visit when the warm weather returns 🌞 Regards Paul

Arrived around 6pm no staff at hotel so self checkin with a keybox, felt more like Airbnb than a hotel but cost same as much nicer fully staffed hotels we stayed other days. Place is run down and needs refurb

This beautiful old hotel has been kept in excellent condition with tasteful modernizations. Shower was super with lovely fluffy towels! Beautiful countryside setting. Staff are friendly and helpful :) And the dinners were delicious.

Frustrating and short-lived stay

When I arrived to check-in, although I was expected, it was clear that the messages I had sent via Hotels.com regarding my time of arrival and my dinner booking hadn’t been received. Evidently there is a system problem between Hotels.com and OYO. Not a good start. Only on arrival did I discover that breakfast was a Continental and not cooked. This wasn’t clear in the information I’d seen and had reasonably expected a full cooked breakfast. Had I understood this I would not have chosen this place. Cooked breakfasts are an important part of the holiday for me When I got to my room, I found the windows open and a Pemrokeshire gale rattling round the room. It took my 10 minutes to close the sash windows and the room remained cold all evening. After dinner I was unable to get my TV to work, but to get help had the ridiculous situation of having to leave the hotel and knock on the front door in the rain to get attention. I found someone but they were unable to help me with the TV. As I sat in my bedroom that night, cold, wet, with no TV and the prospect of a cold breakfast in the morning, I decided that this wasn’t the place for me. I checked out in the morning.

Work stay

Stayed again due to work commitments. I stayed in the same single room as per the previous 2 visits. This time the bar wasn’t open due to sickness. Which is not a huge issue as the Dial Inn is just a few yards away. The issue this time was even though the heating was on the room was like a fridge. It was so cold that I had a sleepless night. Also, as per previous reviews the shower is not good. It is an electric shower that has no power and the water just trickles out. Don’t get me wrong the staff are amazing but there are niggles.

Work Stay

The Lamphey Hall is a great place to stay situated just outside Pembroke. Upon arrival the staff are friendly and welcome and nothing is an issue. The room is well presented, comfortable with sky TV. All the amenities are available including coffee/tea and complimentary shampoo and body wash. There is plenty of off street parking. The bar is a welcoming place to sit and have a quiet drink with the bar friendly bar staff. Highly recommended.

Work Visit

When I arrived I thought the hotel was closed as the reception door was locked. I went into the bistro where I greeted with a smile and they were expecting me. The Hotel had just reopened after some refurbishment work. The staff were friendly and helpful. I enjoyed a nice glass of wine in the bar before retiring to the room. I only stayed in a single room, which was clean and comfortable. The only issues I had with the room were that I could not get the TV to work as it needed to be connected to the wifi and also the electric shower trickled rather than sprayed water, but these are the only things wrong.
