"Stayed here regularly until 2019. Just back from a few days here and it retains the excellent staff but is really in need of a complete restoration. Parts of the hotel including our room were very tired looking. It reminds me of a hotel that would have been excellent 20!years ago and hasn’t had any improvements since.
2 very petty but really annoying changes since our last visit were that the pool bar no longer sells ice cream or large bottles of water.
Our patio door looked as if it had been burst open and could not be closed without slamming.
The breakfast is a highlight and recommended.
This was not a cheap stay but was very overpriced.
Disappointing compared to our last visit in 2019."
