"Just two nights at this perfectly located hotel with mature lovely gardens and country house features. Very convenient for Ullswater lake and walks. The staff were very helpful and attentive. We could not fault the reception, bar and dinning room team, they were great. The room we had was spacious and clean, with decoration and furniture in keeping with an old country house. "A very warm welcome, and Ann, the proprietor, was very helpful and friendly. Room was very well furnished and presented beautifully- perfect cleanliness. Excellent breakfast as well. Can’t think of anything to improve on. We will return whenever we need to stay over anywhere near Penrith. "
