"The room was super spacious, very clean and lovely and airy on a really hot day. The bed and pillows were really comfy and the room was surprisingly quiet considering the hotel is next to the motorway. We had a lovely warm welcome and it was so handy for Gretna and access to Scotland. We'd stay again any time."

"Disappointed with the standard of my room. I had the opportunity to upgrade from a standard room to an executive room. I have previously stayed in a standard room before, but I really struggled to see the different between a standard and an upgraded executive room. The bathroom was extremely outdated and the woodwork panelling was pretty poor. The carpets were threadbare, and on closer inspection, I could see a white creepy crawly coming from the carpet. I really wish I hadn't upgraded"

"I had a very positive experience at this hotel and would definitely recommend it. The check-in process was fast and efficient, which was greatly appreciated after a long day of traveling. The room was impeccably clean and surprisingly spacious, offering plenty of room to relax comfortably. Every staff member I encountered was friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout my stay. The complimentary breakfast was decent, nothing extraordinary, but it had a good selection and served as a solid, convenient start to the day. Overall, it was a hassle-free, comfortable stay with excellent service. I would certainly consider staying here again!"

"Lovely country pub and stay nice cooked food and breakfast which is decent size to start your day . Rooms and nice and roomy and comfy got everything you need all clean and tidy . The rooms attached to pub are great if you’re disabled . The staff are lovely a really nice family run place so welcoming in a beautiful little village with gorgeous surroundings peaceful . Loved it will be back again ."
