"Great Pool Area with a Great Beach View, Room was clean, Housekeeper Lady was very good. Breakfast was Awesome, Staff at the Restaurant, Bar and Pool Area was Excellent. The Front Desk Staff in the other hand was not friendly at all and need more customer service training. As a family we arrived at 3:15pm from a long flight, when I tried to check in the gentleman told me he could not find my reservation after he asked me to show him on my personal phone the reservation he then took a picture of my reservation with his phone. Then he told us the room was not ready that he was going to hold our luggage in a holding room and that if we would like to go to the restaurant and we could wait for our room there. Keep in mind he never apologize for not having my room ready at 3pm like the check in is supposed to be, we decided to eat at the restaurant. The front desk did not even had the decency to let us know our room was ready after about an hour, the front desk told one of the restaurant wait staff to let us know which I found very unprofessional I did mentioned about it and they told me the Lady in Charge of the hotel would come and talk to me she never did.But overall nice hotel, and a good location walking distance to the little downtown Zihuatanejo.."

"The hotel overall was okay. The food and drinks were okay as well nothing special. We arrived around 5pm and could not find food because the restaurants were closed and wouldn’t be open till dinner so the only thing that was left was the lunch buffet by the pool. Stale fries and only 3 hamburgers left. We were a group of 12 and the employees seemed annoyed that we were such a big group. It’s also a very small seating area so we had to stand while we ate because we were not allowed to take our food to the lounge chairs next to the pool. This was the first hotel that I’ve stayed at where you can’t order food while hanging out at the lounge chairs."

"Excellent stay at Sunscape Dorado Pacífico Ixtapa! The facilities were very well maintained, the service was outstanding, the food was good, and the shows were enjoyable. The weather was beautiful, and the spa massages were excellent. I would especially like to recognize Emanuel, Luis, and Saúl, who provided exceptional service as waiters—always attentive, friendly, and professional. As feedback, I would suggest improving safety in the pool area with the water slides. The landing zone should have floating barriers or buoys, as people coming down the slides can accidentally hit others swimming below who are unaware. Additionally, on March 25, 2026, around 4:00 pm, at the pool with the two slides, I witnessed a concerning situation where a young child (around 5 years old) slipped into the pool and struggled while his mother was calling for help. The lifeguard nearby did not react or notice the situation, and the child was ultimately helped by his sibling. I believe lifeguards should be more attentive and proactive in ensuring guest safety. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and truly enjoyed our stay."

"DON'T GO TO THIS RESORT!!!!!! the hotels cleanliness was terrible. Everyone in my family got a food born illness during our stay except for my husband. My six year old was vomiting uncontrollably on our second night from the reservation Italian restaurant. He was so ill that he wasn't better for the rest of the trip. I started to notice at the swim up bar and the snacks stand that the servers were washing the dishes by hand rather than using a dishwasher. This is clearly why we got sick. In the morning all the items were fresh and hot from the dishwasher but clearly the staff were far too lazy and would rather wash the items by hand than trolly them back into the restaurants. They were not using the proper hand wash method with bleach either. My kids ended up contracting Hand Foot and Mouth disease from the kids pool. The children's pool area looked clean upon first inspection but after my daughter mentioned green slime that she slipped on, up near the slide I had a further investigation. Turns out children aren't as important as adults at this resort. All it would have taken was one pool guy to notice and clean but there was green slime all over the landing of one of the slides, which meant the area wasn't being cleaned properly. I'm sure this is where he contracted Hand Foot and Mouth as it is very contagious. We have been home for three days and been to Emergency back here in Canada and it is confirmed HMFD. Now my daughter also has contracted HFMD. "
