"We were tired of being around all the tourists and wanted something that said “Welcome to Colorado”. This was the place. We received emails from the resort with detailed directions on driving and registration that were easy to follow. The five mile drive up the gravel road took a little longer than expected because a flock of sheep that decided they needed to cross the road in front of us! We had dinner in the restaurant that was good. Many locals were there eating as well. It happened to be close to 90 degrees at 4:00 when we arrived and since there is no air conditioning it took awhile for the room to cool down after the sunset. A fan in the window was provided. The room was up dated and cute, although a little small. It would have been nice to have a chair in the room to have a place other than just the bed to sit on. Overall, I would not hesitate to stay here again and would recommend it to others."

"Hotel is conveniently located, has amazing views as well as clean rooms with all the necessary amenities. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Upon checking in, we were greeted with wine and cookies. They informed us about music event happening later that evening in the town which turned out to be a very memorable experience."

"Room was very clean and renovated. Location is perfect, 7 minutes walking from Box Canon and 15 from hot springs pool. The view is so so beautiful. I was worried about the restaurant after I read the reviews but it's not right the pizza and burgers very tasty and the breakfast is so good and there's alot of variety it was very delicious."

"It was very clean and comfortable. The room and bathroom looked updated. We were able to park right in front of our room, which was convenient. The mini fridge had a freezer so we could freeze our cold blocks for our cooler, which was nice. Most hotels don't have a mini fridge with a large enough freezer space, so it was helpful to be able to do that. We also were given vouchers for breakfast at a restaurant in town, and it was good food and a nice perk that came with the room. It was nice to have an actual breakfast versus the continental type that's offered in many chain hotels."
