"Angel Inn is close to the centre of Petworth, the staff were very friendly and welcoming. The room was clean and spacious, the bed was very comfortable, the bathroom had a large modern bath and separate shower and everything was very clean. We appreciated the teapot in the room and selection of teas, also the complimentary flapjack. We ate in the restaurant area of the inn and had an excellent meal. "

"Great location. Inflexible menu on the day so had to eat elsewhere no accommodation La were made for us. Clean room But many hairs in the bedding inbetween mattress protector or bottom sheet. Attention to detail would be worthwhile and signs on other guests doors to ask them to be mind full not letting doors slam in the morning would be helpful."

"Hotel was in a great location, being close to the town centre and the sea front and the seaview was very nice. Breakfast was good and the staff were good throughout. The room had a huge en-suite bathroom which was finished to a very high standard and was very nice. The bedroom was ok but not to the same high standard as the bathroom and view of the sea was somewhat spoilt by the view of a poor condition balcony. "I spent two nights at The Bear Hotel. The room was small but functional; however, the furniture was very tired and badly worn. The paint was peeling and stained in places, as though an old leak had never been properly repaired. The bathroom had also seen better days. Cleanliness was a major issue throughout my stay.
