"Very nice hotel perhaps the best near Neuschwanstein. But so bavarian. Some staff were amazing other staff were a bit strange. We waited a bit for a drink and my fiancee signalled a waiter through a glass and she showed with her hand that she can't hear and left. I don't even think she meant bad its just very bavarian lol. Fine for me but bit of a culture shock for my girlfriend. Location is gorgeous. The pool with view over the lake could take service though. The food was actually pretty damn...

"This is one of the best hotels i've stayed in. really enjoy the grand view of the castle from the dinning area, the breakfast and the dinner here are wonderful, the desert is wonderful. the room has a great balcony , it is just a very pleasant experience staying here. "

"Perfect location close to the train station and bus to Neuschwanstein Castle. Gorgeous view over rooftops to the mountains. Amazing breakfast buffet with loads of choice. Carpet in room was stained and there was mould/dust on the bathroom vent. The place felt run down but it's characterful. I appreciated the elevator. No umbrellas were available at the desk on a rainy day."

"Beautiful room, friendly staff, incredible breakfast, right in the middle of town. Loved it."

"It was amazing price and everything was so nice. The staff was great too!"

"The staff was super nice and very helpful. They gave us a card to get around the city, directions to the Castle, places to eat, Very nice. The location is great. It sits about three blocks from the beginning of downtown five blocks to the train station and the bus where you catch a ride to the Castle. The High Castle in town is excellent and worth thetime. The breakfast was very typical for a German hotel cold cuts bread, coffee out of the machine. The convenience of breakfast was worth the €16,...

"Super Tolle Zeit im König Ludwig. Sehr nettes Personal an der Rezeption, Restaurant, Bar,SPA Bereich sowie Reinigungsteam. Herzlichen Dank, macht weiter so, wir kommen gerne wieder !"

"We had a magnificent time at the Waldman hotel. Our room actually had a view of the castle. The food was excellent and we rented bikes to ride into the city. Highly recommend this place easy to get up to the castle on the bus in the morning."

"Very good buffet style breakfast"

"Siamo arrivati tardi per il check-in ma l’addetto alla reception con una videochiamata ci ha spiegato tutto per filo e per segno. Camera molto carina e pulitissima all’arrivo. Poi nell’arco dei tre giorni un po’ meno. Colazione non abbondante ma buona lo stesso. Vicino alla reception c’è un piccolo negozietto di souvenir. Parcheggio a pagamento anche no. Hotel consigliato"

"Great staff, especially Hannah, so helpful and nice and she spoke great English. Restaurant was excellent for dinner."

"Very nice stay with gorgeous views of the castles. Great restaurant on site and very helpful staff."

"You cannot stay at a better property than this one. I cannot say enough good things about everything. The staff is amazing, the location is perfect for hiking, walking to the Castle and just relaxing and the food is the best. We will stay here every time we come back."

"Die Parkplatzsituation ist nicht ideal. Hätte mir Kaffee oder Teemaschine oder einen Heißwasserkocher auf dem Zimmer gewünscht. Salatbuffet etwas traurig in der Vielfalt. Der Speisesaal könnte mehr Abgrenzungen vertragen. Lage traumhaft."

"A really nice hotel in a lovely area with lovely staff! We had a very warm welcome, the surrounding areas are beautiful and peaceful and only a short walk (15 mins approx) to the town centre. The staff also gave us a free bus pass for the surrounding area, including neuschwanstein. The breakfast buffet is fabulous and the breakfast room is really cosy. Rooms are clean, modern, with beautiful views across parkland. There are also other facilities such as darts and billiards in the lounge area,...
