Pullman Phu Quoc Beach Resort

"amazing breakfast buffet, hotel staffs were accomodating and nice 👍 thanks!"

Seashells Hotel and Spa Phu Quoc
8/10 Good
"Nice hotel with a view. However the beach area wasn’t very clean. Also the hotel should provide discounts for hotel guests for dining at the hotel restaurant "

Meliá Vinpearl Phu Quoc

"Reception staff very good, Casa Nostra Staff very good. Pools clean and mostly well maintained but getting tired. Lifeguards don’t do much in the way of watching the pool, was shouted at by one of them because of his belief that I had not used a towel card for each of our party going as far as refusing to return our towel cards.
Basic restaurant staff also not the greatest for a resort that bills itself so highly. I was shouted at again by a front desk staff member at the restaurant at the Ibiza area.
Villa was dusty, especially the ceiling fans. Floors could use a scrub. Several damaged furniture pieces in the bedrooms and living area.
Villa pool was nice, quiet and private. Beach was pleasant and pretty.
General area adjacent to the Mellia was very artificial at best and overtly uninhabited. Neighbouring golf course was a pleasant experience and well maintained. Vinpearl Safari was a good visit for our little one who really enjoyed the Junior Safari program. "

Best Western Premier Sonasea Phu Quoc

"We stayed in the 3 bedroom Villa expecting exceptional service and holiday as it was one of the most expensive rooms at the hotel.
To be honest the stay was good overall. The accommodation is a bit older but is well maintained.
The staff at the hotel were mostly good to amazing. The staff tried to help, but most could not speak English or any of the other languages we speak. I used the Vietnamese to English phone apps that are free to use. It was usually manageable, and many of the staff were truly trying to help.
The room service and cleaning staff did an exceptional job, there was never anything to complain about, and they were amazing.
The kitchen and breakfast, options have hardly any vegetarian or vegan options unless you want to use the salad bar to make your own sandwiches. As our group was all vegetarian or vegan this made it a bit of a challenge. Most days there were 2-3 good vegetarian options at breakfast. We did speak to kitchen management and they were able to accommodate us after the first a couple of days of our 8 day stay. They even packed us breakfast on the last day of our stay which was a really nice touch.
Outside the hotel there was an undercurrent of tourists not being wanted, or not welcome, which I found surprising because it is a town fully dependent on tourism. Booking outings with the staff from hotel is probably the best way to go.
