"The Avista is a great spot but it could generate considerably increased business with the older set if it put rails along entry steps to the lobby and all other stairways which are dangerous for all residents irrespective of age. A fall there by anyone would be catastrophic. There is nothing to hang onto on any stairs. "

"The resort is located across the beach and has all the amenities one can think of. The staff are friendly barring one or two buggy drivers who are burnt out driving around. Tony from Cafe Studio was brilliant!! They seem under staffed with the breakfast volume and one chef apparently so food takes a while at times to get to the table. Anan at reception was very courteous and I wish I took all the other names but they were all brilliant! The security staff manning the residences were very helpful and the pool staff too. I cannot fault the service in any way. Clearly the HR and training department is doing a good job with getting the right staff. The only glitch is that the hotel is not wheelchair friendly. Many steps to climb and we had to carry the wheelchair up. If your audience is not the disabled, then you have to mention it on booking platforms. My shoulders are in pain carrying the wheelchair up and down steps."

"Greatest and most respectful staff. Game makes the best breakfast, and Ben took great care of our room. Gym was great, pool was great, vibes were great. Good middle spot to move around Phuket. Boats also offered various stops to islands. Support the local small kiosks too, the food is amazing."

"My family and I just spent four incredible nights at the Novotel Kata Avista Resort and Spa, and I cannot recommend it enough. We were traveling with our two children (ages 6 and 8), and the experience was fantastic from start to finish. We stayed in Room 501 on the 5th floor, which had a beautiful view overlooking the beach. Our arrival was made special by May, who escorted us to our room and ensured we were completely comfortable from the moment we checked in. Since we were celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary, the staff went above and beyond by decorating our room to mark the occasion—a thoughtful touch that made our stay so special. For families, this resort is a gem. We made great use of both kids' areas; they were fantastic for keeping our children entertained and gave us parents some much-needed relaxation time. The breakfast spread was excellent throughout our stay, and we also had the opportunity to book a private Thai cooking class, which was a really enjoyable experience for the whole family. The amenities made everything convenient. We loved the shuttle service to Kata Beach—they provided beach towels and flip-flops, so we didn't have to worry about packing extra gear. The outdoor showers by the pool were also a great feature for cleaning up after a beach day. What truly set this stay apart was the service.
