Pigeon's Point Beach

Pigeon\'s Point Beach which includes general coastal views and a bay or harbour
This golden beach overlooking Falmouth Harbour is ideal for appreciating Antigua’s constant sunshine, swimming in crystal clear water and watching pretty sunsets.

Pigeon’s Point Beach is a popular family-friendly attraction in English Harbour. It is one of the many wonderful beaches that decorate Antigua’s magical coastline. Come to Pigeon’s Point Beach to bask in its stunning natural setting, enhance your tan, read a book beneath a coconut palm and dine at waterfront bars.

The beach is a short, tree-shaded stretch of fine golden sand set on the shores of Falmouth Harbour. Its public-use amenities include a baby changing room, outdoor showers and restrooms with wheelchair access. Pay a nominal fee to use the facilities. This money gets reinvested into maintaining its cleanliness. The setting also has a children’s playground complete with a climbing frame, slides and swings.

Stride out into the shallow, inviting water until it is deep enough to submerge yourself completely. The sea is so clear here that you can watch fish swim over the waterbed with the naked eye. Bring a snorkel and mask for even better fish-spotting opportunities. These are often available at the hotels in English Harbour.

Go to the southern end of the beach and walk out along the pier. Sit at the dock’s edge and observe as elegant yachts and simple speedboats moor offshore. The beach has two restaurants, both serving plates of sumptuous fresh seafood, fine wines and superb cocktails. Arrive late in the afternoon, order your drink of choice and stay to watch the sunset with the accompaniment of live music.

Get active and explore the two scenic trails that start from the beach. One travels south to secluded Windward Bay Beach. The other leads across a forested hill to the ruins of Fort Berkeley. Bring your camera to snap memorable photographs from the bastion of this 18th-century fortress.

Pigeon’s Point Beach is a 5-minute drive or a 20-minute walk from Nelson’s Dockyard in the center of English Harbour. Find free parking along the beach road.
