"We booked a standard room but they upgraded it to deluxe room (a nice surprise to ease our tiredness after traveling on a plane) Hotel staff were friendly and very helpful, breakfast is very good, room is spacious, overall we loved our stay at East Indies Mansion. Tip: Don't forget to try the indian restaurant near the hotel (corner of lebuh pinang and lebuh china), their chicken kebab and cheese naan are delicious."

"It's an old house that has been turned into quaint boutique hotel. Very strategic location. Don't choose the room facing the street, though, it can get very noisy at night with speeding cars (despite the small lane) and fireworks (we cane during Hari Raya holiday)."
