"I’ve even coming to Nisswa for 20yrs and this was one of the best experiences I’ve had. Nature Link’s design and approach to “linking” to nature and creating a peaceful experience was wonderful! I will definitely be back. Joel W."

10/10 Excellent
"Our room was perfect for the five of us. I should have read more clearly that they charge extra for the third child . One paid adult gets one free kid to the water park "
"My husband and I have been going to Grandview Lodge in Brainerd, MN for the past 25 years and have always enjoyed it. Well, that came to a halt after our last stay. The rooms, while being updated, are pretty tacky as well as the walls being paper thin. I thought we had people in our room one morning, but as it turns out, it was the cleaning crew cleaning the room next door. It was that loud!!! The biggest concern however, was at checkout when I had a concern and literally, wanted Chris, the Front Desk Manger, to just acknowledge my concern. He was completely dismissive of my concern, of me and the fact that we had just spent money at the spa, Northwoods Pub, etc. He was all about principal and that I was wrong, and he was right. He did nothing wrong and that was it. I point blank asked him if he was going to do anything to make my stay better and he said no. So then I asked him, so you are OK with me leaving upset and he said Yes. No Customer Service at all. I am in customer service and I can tell you, that I would NEVER have treated anybody like that. I would have listened and then talked but never just be dismissive of a 25 year customer. The funny thing is that my husband and I had just talked about possibly buying some Grandview Real Estate the night before. Well, guess what, that will never happen. I am so sad about this as we had always enjoyed our stays in the past, but all it takes is one person to ruin something and turn all memories into a negative. Th"
Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Brainerd-Baxter by IHG
6/10 Okay
"My family comes multiple times a year for the waterpark. Since last visit we have noticed that the staff is much less friendly than before. I'm not sure what the dynamic is behind the scenes, but the energy of the front desk and cleaning staff was depressing. We were also dissapointed that we were shorted waterpark passes at check in (no problem previous stays in same suite), concerned that the waterpark life guard staff was constantly on their phones or gossiping with each other and seemed unhappy to be there, that the bar and grill did not sell food as advertised and that wp staff was rude about families using delivery services to feed their families. We plan in advance and the lack of food options was a big inconvenience and was expensive to figure out a plan through another restaurant offsite. It was offputting to have a staff member bark at people about food when they didnt have any options for families. Also carpet in room and hallways are very old, stained and gross. The bathrooms in the water park are also pretty rough and too small for the amount of people going. The lifeguards were yelling for people to get out at 3pm but the lines for shower and bathroom took forever. "
"When I first called,The lady on the phone told me they had no rooms. We had already checked online there were lots of rooms. I booked one online then the lady at the desk called back almost immediately after booking and said it looked like I got the last room because someone canceled, There were definitely rooms left. The parking lot wasn't even fill that evening. Very odd....When we got there the lady at the desk told us we would have to wait for the next person on duty to arrive so we could check in because she had already logged out and didn't want to log back in even though she was just sitting at the desk and there were no other guests there. We waited about 15-20 minutes. There was no dead bolt lock on our door. The heater in the room was stuck on heat and we kept having to open the door too cool it down. I finally unplugged the heater to get it to stop blowing hot. Even switching it to AC did not work. The garbage had not been taken out, the bathroom garbage was absolutely full. It was a very strange experience that I likely will not recommend or participate in again myself. "
"super clean rooms, water park was perfect for my 3 and 5 year old. only thing i wasn’t super happy about was the water park doesn’t open till 9am. kids are up early so waiting for several hours to open wasn’t great. wish it would open earlier but otherwise very impressed. we’ll be going back for sure "
