"We arrived and received a coupon for a free sunset drink and 20 dollars off any food or beverage for each day of our stay. It included the Jolly Trolly, E bike rental, etc. We were not told we needed to take said coupon with us to the rooftop bar that evening in order to use it. Very frustrating with the miscommunication. We were not given Jolly Trolly stops, had to figure that out on our own. No E bike information either.
The next morning we stopped at the desk to let them know our sink faucet was leaking and we were leaving for a few hours and would be back before leaving again in the afternoon. They told us they had someone on site and would have it repaired right away. We also told them we needed all new towels because we needed to clean up the water that leaked all over our sink counter. We got back a few hours later and the repair person was still in our room and said it would be another 30 minutes. So we had to wait at the pool in soaking wet bathing suits. We went up to shower without any bath towels, only hand towels. We were running late to meet with my niece in Tampa by this time. Stopped back at the desk and let them know, was given two free drinks.
At check out, were learned the free sunset drink and 20 dollar vouchers, etc. cost us 30 dollars a day, so nothing was free. Would not recommend."
"We stayed on the 6th floor of Mahi building and wanted to love this place as we are local. The room itself was spacious and moderately clean, and the staff were genuinely friendly and helpful whenever we spoke to them in person. We also appreciated the app for communication and the easy access to Sunrunner.
That said, the building needs work after the hurricane. The phone to reach the front desk still wasn’t working, the A/C vent had nkt been changed and it was evident in the mildewy smell to room and the irritation and allergies I suffered after the first night. Cable streaming was very limited with most channels out. The phone for service is still down since hurricane.Again not a dealbreaker, but families with kids might care more. The biggest issue was the elevator. It worked the first night, but the next morning it was down. Carrying luggage and a dog up and down 6 flights of steep stairs was rough, especially since it’s not safe for pets on those steps. Additionally, we are experiencing summer already and it was particularly hot with no fans in stairwells.
After a few requests via app and in person we were changed to a room closer to the beach. The view was great. Bathroom was a bit worse for wear but again moderately clean. Employees did their best and were a bright spot, but with elevator reliability, basic repairs, and soundproofing issues, the property needs some TLC before it’s fully guest-ready especially considering the price paid for services and accomodations."
"The resort doesn’t have much to do. For the expensive price, I excepted more to do at the resort. I didn't like how people can pay to use the pool for the day even if they weren’t staying at the resort, which made the pool service slow and no access to pool chairs. There’s only a few restaurants and most of them share the same dishes. The room was tiny. Getting to the toilet, I had to open the shower door because I am pregnant and I didn’t fit. There was no microwave in the rooms, which meant I couldn’t take my leftovers back to my room. The shower seemed to have mold, maybe because when you shower, the water seems to just slip out. Overall I expected the service to be above and beyond but some staff seemed like they didn’t want to work there. I wouldn’t stay there again. It’s was okay overall."
"We were extremely happy with our stay. The room with beautiful with a balcony. The pool was busy but very clean. Great location right off the beach. Food was fantastic"
