he Arc de Triomphe de l'Étoile is one of the most famous monuments in Paris. It stands in the center of the Place Charles de Gaulle, at the western end of the Champs-Élysées. It was established in 1836.
The Arc de Triomphe at the 12 road junction on Place Charles de Gaulle. Built as a monument to those who fought and died in the French Revolutionary & Napoleoninc Wars. The names of all the French victories & generals are inscribed on it's surfaces and the Tomb of The Unknown Soldier from World War 1 lies under it.
