"The room was perfection. The view was a dream overlooking the sea and pool and gardens. This is a fabulous hotel. Attentive staff. Delicious food. Beautifully kept with a perfect location."

"Comfortable and happy stay at Mama Shelter. The bed was super comfy! Staff are very welcoming and friendly. A little walk from tram stop and seafront but very near Nice Riquier station - perfect for day trips - and only a few minutes from a good range of restaurants and bars. Buffet breakfast decent with a good amount of choice. Options for the restaurant and terrace menus are a but decent. The room had no kettle so way of making hot drinks, which is disappointing, and surprising given the...

"We had a sea view room with terrace which provided gorgeous views of the sea and cap Ferrat. Old villefranche and the promenade were a short walk from the hotel. There are two bus stops within a 5 min walk. The staff were friendly, warm and welcoming. We checked in very early. We were given bus line information and bus cards already filled to start us that morning. We returned the bus cards with fares as we were so grateful."

"Despite some cobwebs on the ceiling the room was clean. AC/fan didn't work, the open balcony doors helped but very loud over the restaurant and street. Restaurant dining was good, staff friendly. Location lovely, very walkable. Excellent parking and amazing views. Beds were OK for comfort."

"My wife and I stayed here for our honeymoon and it was amazing! The staff was so kind and welcoming. There were so many amenities to enjoy while there, definitely recommend grabbing something from the bakery. The spa with the heated pools was definitely a highlight and a good way to relax. The room was so clean and comfortable as well. Overall this is a great hotel with rich history and I hope to return here again one day!"

"Clean room and hotel generally. Very helpful staff. Convenient for walking to centre and beach (10-20 minutes), but also tram close to hotel. SNCF trains 12 minutes walk. "
