"THIS is the place to stay when staying near Saint Jean De Luz. We actually decided to book here last-minute after our other hotel (highly rated, btw) was lackluster and we wanted to keep the good vacation vibes going. This is a renovated estate with the original building dating from the 1600s. We stayed in the smallest room, but even this was super well appointed and comfortable for two people. The pool area is amazing, and it's so nice to have a Michelin-rated restaurant as part of the auberge....

"This hotel doesn't deserve a 4-star rating. At most two and a half. The rooms are missing standard items like hair conditioner, shower caps, Q-tips, etc. Furthermore, soap and shampoo are locked like in a cheap motel. It was very hard to get anything out of the bottle. The hotel does not have parking or any valet/bellhops services. In-room coffee service does not offer even a cheap creamer. There is mold in the shower stalls, and towels show their age. I could go on and on, but I hope the...

"It was very quaint looking had a lot of character.. very old, beautiful wood floors. The breakfast room was absolutely beautiful, and the breakfast was really good! There are lots of other areas on site that were also inviting, but the weather is very hot so we did not enjoy those. The rooms are not very big but adequate for my husband and me. I would highly recommend this hotel and I would recommend getting a parking space and getting breakfast!"
