"Breakfast was over at 9:30. That was too early for us. Also there was a loud roaring noise that sounded like it was coming from behind the wall in our bathroom. We had to keep the bathroom door closed which kept the air conditioner from cooling it. Other than those 2 things, everything else was fine."

"I will not stay there again. The smell in the room was horrible. The bed was worn out, when you were sit on it to go almost to the box springs, and the air conditioner made a horrible noise when it would come on, put in all of this together I had just a little over 2 hours sleep. I DON'T recommend.... We chose this place because of the rating and I have no idea how I received the rate and it has received."

"Stay away!! I am calling days Inn worldwide to report this property. The lamp and alarm clock and microwave were all broke. Security violation in leaving the outside door propped open. None of the ice or vending machines did not work. Could never find an employee. Stacks of bed frames in the boxes stacked floor to ceiling. Dust everywhere. Dog excrement smell in the hallways.too much to list. Several rooms were empty , meaning no furniture or at beds or anything."

"I travel a lot for business and this was an extremely clean property. I was hesitant, as in the past Red Roof Inns were not a place I would stay. This is an exception to the rule. The front desk staff was pleasant and accommodating. The room was very clean, smelled good, and had a comfortable bed and great AC. I would stay again."

"Three Trails is ideally located in downtown Elkin. It, however, is located next to an active railroad line and trains do sound their horns early in the mornings and sometimes at night. Three Trails is also on the corner of the main street junction of the city. Therefore, there is street noise. Three Trails would be much improved, and more comfortable for guests, if sound proofing glass is installed in the windows. "The room was clean and comfortable. There were a variety of breakfast items available. Staff was helpful and friendly. Parking was never an issue."
