"The location was pretty however the hotel grounds felt run down. It had a lot of potential but was just not what I would expect. While the rooms were large and beds were comfortable, housekeeping could definitely have been better. There was trash under our bed, and hairs throughout (in the refrigerator, on the bathroom walls, etc). It also looked like upkeep was needed in the rooms. "there were no surprises here. This is kind of an iconic inn. The mattress and pillows were just OK. The room smell a little musty. There is no thermostat although the fireplace generates a lot of heat. The amenities are terrible. I wouldn't stay for more than two nights."

"The staff upon arrival was extremely helpful and courteous. The property was fairly clean, but overall I was a bit disappointed with the room and the quality for the price. The pillows were terrible and the amenities were lacking for the money. No hair dryer even in the room. The room was small and lots of noise from the room above us. We payed over 100 dollars more to stay at this hotel from another one we had stayed before and sadly the other one was a way better option for the price. Very sad...

"This place has gone downhill, I used to stay here and won’t go back after this stay. The entire hotel is run down, dirty and overall in need of attention.Our curtains in our room were tattered and torn. The sheets on the bed looked like somebody napped on them. I went into our first room and it smelled so bad, I asked for this room which was a mess."
