"All the staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel's owner, Konstantin Kostov, was particularly impressive. Always there, it seemed, and he also gave an excellent talk about the Roman baths underneath the hotel. Whatever I asked of him, he always went the extra yard. Any criticism? I had to work hard to come up with one: the fridge in my room was not cold enough!"

"This is the most beautiful old hotel right in the old city. I had a little trouble finding it as you have to pass through the barriers to get access to the old city. Looking at Google maps, I mistakenly thought access was on the main road. Hristo, the owner, had registered my car details so I was waved through the barrier with no problem. I arrived 15 minutes after the receptionist was supposed to leave but she waited for me. They've gone to a lot of effort to reflect the character of the old...

"A last minute booking. Communication was excellent and the owner let us park and check in early. We enjoyed a coffee at the cafe next door whilst they finished preparing our room. The owner greeted us and spent time showing us the best walking route to take, to see the wonderful town of Plovdiv. The hotel is on the doorstep of the beautiful old town. Breakfast was a very tasty typical Bulgarian breakfast served to your table. We loved our overnight stay and would recommend. "

"Rooms are very clean and up to date. Aircon is easy to operate and effective, which makes a change. Coffee machine was good once I'd figured out how to use it. Wish there was milk or creamer. Breakfast is excellent with most things and good coffee. I had dinner at 10pm and lunch the next day and the food is really good. However, the room price was higher than I would of expected TBH. Plus Expedia say there is an airport courtesy vehicle and when tried to book it they wanted 200 lev."

"Allt var bra, men inte madrassen som var väldigt dålig. Jag var tvungen att ta bort madrassen från sängen för att kunna sova. Sovrummet och badrummet var rena och välstädade. Kvinnan i receptionen var väldigt trevlig. Hotellet saknar hiss, så tänk på det innan ni bokar detta hotell. Jag rekommenderar detta hotell. "

"Excellent well kept hotel next to Kaufland supermarket complex. Clean, quiet, spacious room. Gym well appointed. Lots of parking. Breakfast had good choices. Front desk very friendly and helpful."
