"Stayed here Mon-Fri. My initial opinion of this place was very good. Staff were very friendly and appeared efficient. Check-in was easy. Rooms are very good with a ceiling fan and additional tower fan in the room which was helpful during the recent spell of hot weather. Breakfast was good. "A big shout out to the staff which work here, very often you will stay somewhere and you’ll encounter 1 or 2 excellent staff with the rest just doing their job. This was not our experience at the Priory, every single member of staff acknowledged us with a friendly smile and an attentive attitude. We were a group of 4 and we all remarked how refreshing it was that we were welcomed and made to feel at home at the Priory. Keep up the good work and thank you."

"My overall assessment on the stay would rate it no more than a three star. There are some minor maintenance issues that need to be looked into. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. Food was very good and the full English was excellent. The idea of filling out what you wanted for breakfast the previous day was not really how I would like it as this might change, I would prefer to decide on the day. Conclusion: The accommodation was a little tired and in need of a spruce up."

"If you’re using it as a base, not a bad idea but keep in mind the place is pretty shabby, no shower available in the bathroom a bit smelly and very rundown no reinventing obviously. Put it this way there’s Spains on the chairs you sit on at dinner and there’s a layer of dust so thick it’s changed the colour of the lampshades in the dining room. A real shame as it’s a prime location."
