"The Bell is a beautiful old building and our room was very tastefully decorated and had everything we needed. The view from the room was amazing. Access was through a separate door to the pub, so we didn't have to be back before the pub closed and could access the room any time. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakasts were delicious and lots of choice on the menu. Lovely pub dog too! We would definitely stay here again."

"Dinner at the hotel was underwhelming.. Very standard pub grub and we had to get our drinks from the bar. Karaoke just outside the hotel went on until 11pm. But breakfast was much better - definitely gets a very good."

"The best part of our stay was the food in the restaurant. It was exceptional. The worst part was the 38 steps up to our top floor room and the quarter mile walk to the car park. The bed was comfortable, the Nespresso coffee maker was nice and the shower was just OK, having only a rain head and no wand. The bar is great for what’s on the bar menu but lame for US cocktails. For instance, the bartender didn’t know what either a manhattan or Rob Roy was."

"Fantastic stay between Bath & Stonehenge. Surrounding towns provide tonnes of history, monuments and pleasant hills. Great carpark and good showers. It was an unusual hot night and the room had a fan!!! Great staff, I recommend."

"I had a warm welcome and my case was taken up to my room. The room was large with king sized bed. All clean, dated, but that suited the age of hotel! There was a small table with kettle and a selection of tea, coffee etc. Large en-suite with large shower. Lots of choices on breakfast menu and cooked freshly. Parking was easy. Location was excellent. 5 minutes walk to Lacock Abbey. Lacock is a very small place but very interesting."

"The whole place was charming and full of character. Check-in was fast and reception took us to our room personally. The room was beautifully decorated. The bathroom was modern and clean. A nice selection of teas and biscuits. This is not a negative but something to be aware of; since the building is older and refurbished, the stairs are a little narrow and lean so make sure you are comfortable with navigating not so perfect stairs if you choose to stay in the upper levels.
