"We upgraded to a room with a water view and it was great! The room was updated and clean. It had a balcony overlooking the water. It was worth the upgrade. The staff was super friendly and helpful. We used the bikes that they lend out for free to ride the waterfront trail. The location is probably the best of any other hotel in Port Angeles. "The WiFi doesn’t work and only 1 of us (of 4) could shower before the hot water ran out…both are apparently known issues. Walls are thin and the road noise is loud. Of the 7 places we are staying for this trip, this was the most expensive so we expected a little more. That said, it was clean, close to shops and restaurants and easy to get into the NP. With a tankless water heater and a robust internet plan, we would have rated it higher."

"We would not recommend staying at the Royal Victorian Motel. It's a given that you're going to pay premium prices for a place so close to Olympic National Park.
