"Charming boutique hotel—cozy, stylish, and well kept. The staff are genuinely courteous and attentive, offering helpful tips and warm service throughout. Food is excellent (breakfast is a standout), making the on-site dining worth staying in for. Convenient location too: about 15 minutes from the center of Monemvasia, so you’re close to the action but in a quieter spot. Overall, great value for a relaxed, quality stay."
"The experience of staying within walls is something else. Monemvasia has managed to capture and maintain the feel of an ancient fortification while giving one the comforts of modern civilization (indoor plumbing!)
The Likinia Hotel is well located, about a 5 minute walk away from the main street and sufficiently separated. At times you even have the feeling that you have the whole fortress to yourself.
Since the family room was the last available option, we had an entire apartment with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms to ourselves. The rooms were very clean and spacious, especially for just two individuals. We recommend booking well in advance or checking with the hotel directly so that you can get an appropriately sized room and allow more people to experience the place :)
The staff were kind and even helped with our bag up the final winding route to the room. The breakfast was a smaller spread but comprised of very high quality food in our opinion. The complimentary bottle of wine for the stay (a regional variety) was also a nice touch.
The view from the room was also quite nice and we could look out onto the sea over the tops of other buildings. It was a really nice experience.
We would recommend the hotel for it's location and will consider going back if we visit Monemvasia again."
"The Kythea Resort was a wonderful hotel to stay at and the hotel staff made this especially true. The room was clean and a minor issue we had with the flush tank was resolved quickly. A special thank-you to Dimitra for this!
The property overall is well maintained and located away from the busy parts of the town allowing for privacy and good views.
The breakfast was scrumptious and the staff proactively ensured all guests had a good experience. Anna in particular suggested several places to visit and recommended a quaint restaurant named "Taverna Platanos", in Milopotamos, which is worth a visit.
Athena who was at the reception desk in the mornings was also really helpful and recommended we visit the Karavas bakery, a definite must-do when you're in Kithira!
Due to its location, the hotel was a good base for excursions to the northern parts of the island. With a car, visiting all parts of the island, including southern areas like Chora and Avlemonas is an option.
We would definitely stay here again the next time we visit Kithira!"
"The apartment side was specious, modern, clean and had a great balcony !!
It was perfect !!! Breakfast was great and staff were friendly and always with a smile !!!"
"Our stay here was pleasant, though there were a few challenges. We had some difficulty with the gate at arrival, as instructions on how to enter were not clear, and we were also unsure where to leave the remote control upon departure. Additionally, it felt a bit misleading that there were no photos showing the farm animals on the property (cats, dogs, geese, chickens, horses, etc.), which are very much present. The biggest drawback was the barking dogs at night, which made it difficult to sleep.
The location is excellent—just a three-minute walk to the beach. The beach itself was clean with soft sand mixed with small pebbles that were easy on the feet. Beach beds were affordable, though many had visible stains, and the bar could benefit from offering a wider variety of snacks and food. That said, the mixed drinks were delicious, and prices were consistent with what we experienced throughout Greece.
One important note: the address is confusing on Google Maps. Entering the address shows a location on Elafonisos island, which is misleading, while searching by the property name brings you to the correct coastal location.
The home itself was very clean and well prepared. We especially appreciated the thoughtful touches like bottled water, coffee, creamer, and laundry pods.
Gyorgia was incredibly kind and hospitable, and her efforts made our stay enjoyable."
