Outdoor enthusiasts can explore the scenic Allegheny Portage Railway National Historic Site, where rangers know which trails have fewer people. Visit the Portage Station Museum to discover local railway heritage, then ask locals about their favourite fishing spots along nearby Trout Run.
Modest but acceptable road stop. Breakfast eggs were mixed with ham, not so good for vegetarians. Serviceable but not luxurious. Bathroom shower mechanism got stuck but maintenance came quickly.

Excellent.
Only quibble and not easy to fix - there could be better sound insulation between rooms - I should not be able to hear the guy on his 'phone next door more-or-less word for word (thankfully it was a business call).

Staff were courteous, however breakfast was fairly drab, offered limited healthy choices and the hot drinks were lukewarm. The room door was stiff and difficult to open, the coffee machine tripped the electrics and was therefore unusable, and outside noise through the night disrupted sleep.

The staff were great especially Addie, who went above and beyond to help us!
Lovely views quiet area , within easy reach of food outlets.
Would definitely recommend and stay again if in the area.

Not too sure what to expect but we were pleased with the room. Bath area ok. Bed enormous! Nice to have a fridge and microwave . Staff were friendly and we had some free coffee from the office in the morning. Sat outside as it was sunny. Not to far to walk to some eating places (Marzoni's brew pub quite good). Chimney Rocks (Indian Lookout post) was worth a visit on the nearby hillside.
