A truly unique resort set in a beautiful natural environment. The tented villas are very comfortable, clean, and tastefully designed. Stunning lagoon location close by. The staff is exceptionally friendly and attentive, providing warm and personal service. Excellent food with fresh, local ingredients. My stay at the Jetwing hotel in Pottuvil was nothing short of amazing. The individual cabana experience offered the perfect blend of privacy and comfort, surrounded by nature and just steps away from the most beautiful beach. Waking up to the sound of the waves and enjoying my peaceful morning walk along the shoreline became the highlight of my trip. A special thank you to R. Darshika, Jehan, and Sadun, whose exceptional service made the experience even more memorable. Their warmth, professionalism, and attention to detail truly stood out and added a personal touch to my stay. The atmosphere was tranquil, the service was outstanding, and the entire property felt like a hidden getaway designed for true relaxation. I can’t wait to come back and explore more of what this incredible place has to offer. Highly recommended!

Dies war das teuerste Hotel auf unserer Reise, aber leider auch das enttäuschendste. Die Sauberkeit des Zimmers ließ zu wünschen übrig. Es waren Ameisen im Bett. Wir mussten zweimal darauf aufmerksam machen, bis diese nachhaltig entfernt wurden. Außerdem stellten wir nach der ersten Nacht fest, dass sich irgendein Tier an unserem Beutel mit (verschlossenen) Keksen zu schaffen gemacht hat. In der zweiten Nacht stellten wir fest, dass es eine Ratte ist. Insgesamt ist die Anlage nicht gut in Schuss. Viele schmuddelige und ungepflegte Ecken. Hier müsste etwas mehr Liebe reingesteckt werden. Der Pool ist ok, allerdings hat sich unser Sohn dort an einer gebrochenen Fliese den großen Zeh aufgeschlitzt. Die Auflagen auf den Liegen müssten größtenteils mal gewaschen werden. Der Service ist sehr langsam und oft wird man nicht richtig verstanden. Wir reklamierten telefonisch, dass der Fön im Zimmer fehlt und bekamen 15 Minuten später eine Flasche Wasser gebracht. Unser Kellner Damuschka war jedoch sehr freundlich und bemüht und hat einen guten Job gemacht. All unsere Reklamationen vor Ort wurden zwar mit betroffenen Gesichtern zur Kenntnis genommen, aber es erfolgte keinerlei Wiedergutmachung. Positiv hervorzuheben ist das Frühstück. Es ist a la carte und wirklich sehr ansprechend und lecker. Auch der Cappuccino war gut. Auch das Abendessen fanden wir lecker, wenn auch überteuert. Insgesamt ein sehr enttäuschendes Erlebnis zu dem hohen Preis.

Kjempefint hotel. Lite mennesker i februar. Var nesten alene hele oppholdet. Supervennlig personal, du får din egen butler for oppholdet som du kan ringe hvis du trenger noe. De ordner utflukter, taxi, tuk tuk eller alt du måtte trenge. Vi dro på safari og de ordnet alt for oss. Store bungalows med god seng. Rent og fint. Anbefaler for en avslappende tid.

Really lovely hotel by the beach, in a surfers' paradise part of east Sri Lanka. Very chilled, perfect for couples and families with kids too. Accommodation is in modern luxury huts that blend in perfectly with their surroundings. We went for breakfast and dinner included option when we booked and it was a good idea. Food has been amazing with local and fusion specialties. The service is great too, everyone was very polite and helpful. The hotel can arrange safaris in the nearby parks to see elephants, crocodiles and millions of birds.

Relaxed new Jetwing hotel. Cabins are spacious and bathroom is fabulous. A Short Tuk Tuk ride into Aragum bay where there are lots of of dining options. Staff are very attentive. Pool hard to get out of.

The property is beautiful with Some animals coming around on the beach (cows, goats,...) I loved it. The view is very nice, the staff is excellent. The huts are nice with 2 showers one inside and one outside, but an A.C need to be install because Arugam Bay is really hot and the fans are not enough.

Not worth the money

Nice cabanas with beach view but don’t plan on using beach much as waves pretty big and rocky, need to go a fair way down the beach to swim. Website dining options misleading, only one restaurant with one menu. Service in restaurant was as described by other reviewers, very hit or miss, for the price paid outstanding should be delivered. If you order a drink be prepared for quite a wait despite very few customers. Website also says room extras like beach bag, sunscreen, facial mister spray, sarongs.... none of these things were in the room so don’t expect them. Staff at hotel is 100% male which I found a little odd and one of the staff would not make eye contact with me or answer my questions directly but instead only with my husband which I found very off putting. Everything felt rather forced and awkward. I would not be interested in staying at this resort again at the price charged.

Great place to stay with wonderful staff

We stayed here for 3 nights and it was a highlight of our holiday. It was so relaxing and the food was amazing. The staff were so friendly, even the chefs came to our table to make sure we were happy. We had a very friendly waiter who never stopped smiling. We were very lucky that they only had their liquor licence issued the day before, so we enjoyed lovely mojiotos in a perfect setting, felt like paradise!

Jetwing was a bit of a let down for me. The location was picturesque, but the facilities and the overall atmosphere were really disappointing. The food was pricey (plus 29% tax on top) and of poor quality. The seafood was not fresh and prawns and lobster mushy. The novelty of the teaspoon of sorbet on a big block of ice is impractical and the coloured decoration (tuile) on each dish was tacky. The pool turned my blonde hair green and my room was not cleaned until 4pm one day. (After 2 requests) Only on my last night, did I receive drinking water by the bed. Potuvil is located (10mins tuk tuk from Arugam Bay) in a Muslim community and the prayer and Ramadan ceremony was broadcast on two different speakers throughout the day and the night. Being the end of Ramadan, may of increased the frequency and intensity at the time of our visit. The crows are a constant invasion of any peace and quiet. This hotel should be priced more reasonably. We stayed in luxury 5 star hotels for the same price or less. ($250 a night and this was already at half price!) No Bar fridge, just an Eski, for which you have to ask for each day. Shower drain was blocked and bathroom door was jammed and difficult to open. Bed was comfortable and a pretty sunrise view

Amazing hotel, great beach get away!

Wow what a place! I had seen pictures and had a rough idea of what to expect, but the place blew me away. I arrived at night and so when I woke in the morning, I realised I was a in a mini paradise. The setting is just stunning, and as the hotel is only 4 months old pre-season, everything is still brand new. My cabana was beautiful and cosy, very originally designed. The idea of a luxury beach hut was very interesting, very chic and exquisite decor. I could easily say it’s one of the best hotel I’ve stayed in, and I like to think I’m very well travelled. The staff was so lovely and accommodating. They really went over and beyond to make my stay special. Hiran the recreation manager organised early morning yoga sessions with a lovely lady called Kim. We were doing yoga as the sun was rising. What an unforgettable experience. The head chef was really lovely as I told him I loved Sri Lankan paratha and the next morning they were on the breakfast menu. He took time out of his busy schedule to teach me how to make rothi with his staff in the immaculate kitchen. I was very impressed. I had a personal tuk tuk driver Lafeer who drove me to local sites like Arugam Bay and Whiskey point. On one occasion, we saw elephants, peacocks, monkeys and crocodiles. Our little excursion had turned into a mini safari. The kindness of the staff and everyone I came into contact with was truly humbling and added a heart felt touch to the whole experience. I would highly recommend this resort.
