"The hotel met our needs for our short visit to Richmond and at a reasonable price. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room with a king bed and small sofa was comfortable for us. Main room and bathroom were quite clean. One design issue: the bed was too close to the outside wall and it was a challenge to get by the AC unit. The bed was also very high off floor - good for some people but not for the shorter ones among us. The breakfast was standard for hotels like this but we were not expecting more, and it was all served with care to keeping items the proper temperature (some hot items like eggs and sausage, baked goods, yoghurt, etc). The coffee was good. A wider variety of fruit would be nice. The hotel's lobby was being renovated when we were there, so it was a little awkward to come in through a side door and then have the closed off lobby across from the breakfast area, but those things happen (good the hotel was keeping up with renovations). After driving for several hours, we were ready for a walk when we got there. Surprisingly, the hotel was set in an area where we could actually walk around a residential (apartments) and commercial area with some ease (sidewalks, not too bust back streets off main roads). That was a small plus for us."

"I had booked our room through Expedia about 2 months before travel. I booked a queen suite with sofa bed and when we got to the property they said they only had a king suite with sofa bed. The receptionist said it was Expedia's fault because they don't check what rooms the hotel has available. Not sure if that is true or not. Made for a very tight stay for our family of 6 for 5 nights. There was a bunch of hair on the pool deck for 2 days before being cleaned up. Breakfast staff was grouchy and didn't keep area stocked well. Breakfast left something to be desired."
