"We were initially surprised at the size of the hotel and rather disappointed how far away our room was from reception and the lifts: However,chat changed as soon as we got to our room which was more like a suite! Exceptionally comfy bed as well. Once we found the shortcut stairways back to the pool area, all was fine. Very glad the hotel wasn't full otherwise the pretty good breakfast might have been more of a struggle. Definitely recommend popping over the road to the Mercado and have a lunch...

"The hotel was lovely. A short uber ride to Tavira (less than 4 euros) although the hotel supplies a couple of shuttles per day to Tavira and Cabanas. The pool was fabulous with plenty of comfortable loungers in nice gardens. The restaurant was very nice with lovely views over the pool and a nice area to sit and have a drink. "Utterly charming from the moment we set eyes on the Pousada - warm welcome to a historic convento, and everything was perfect from there. So elegant, comfortable and delightful. "

"The hotel is in an excellent location,close to the motorway with fantastic views over the river and out to sea. Staff were helpful accepted an Amazon parcel delivery for our fellow travellers and quickly upgraded their rooms on request Rooms clean and tidy and kept so. Air conditioning ok and way to control. "Nice clean place with very responsive staff. They were extremely helpful via WhatsApp as I was arriving with a late check in. Cute location, free packing down the block, no issues. Clean room with good working AC. Bathroom was a little run down but completely adequate condition for the price of the room. very nice view from the top balcony off the communal kitchen, you can see the lighthouse. Great value stay, would come again if stopping in the area. "

"Aside from the confusing parking, between reserved for hotel and for public, the stay was perfect. It was a quick check in and the room was plenty for two people to stay in. It is straight-forward and easy, includes resturant, breakfast/dinner and has a pool area to relax. The staff were amazing and spoke multiple languages to accomodate guests with different nationalities. Overall stay was great. Location was very close to many shops and restuarants in the area of Monte Gordo."
