"Stayed one night at the Renaissance Providence Downtown Hotel while in town for my daughter's lacrosse tournament, and overall had a very good experience. The hotel itself is beautiful and full of character, as it's housed in the historic former Masonic Temple. The architecture and common areas really stand out and give the property a unique feel. "The Neptune is right downtown in Providence, so would be useful for business travel etc. Saturday night is very noisy below on the street with Irish bars nearby (maybe not so loud in the back.) The decor is wonderfully quirky and lobby full of art books. Staff very friendly and helpful. I enjoyed my stay there."

"This hotel was just okay. Nothing special. The staff was fine. Not particularly friendly. The hotel does NOT have complimentary breakfast nor do they have a pool. They have a very modest snack area and parking is $36+ extra. I think some of the info may be getting crossed over since there are 2 marriots downtown... I also noticed they had cookies they gave away to those who checked in around 5pm but when we checked in around 3/4pm they did not. Don't stay here if you have kids - its adequate but...

"Amazing 2 night stay. Had some issues with check in but was a honest mistake by a staff member and they went over and beyond to make it right. Hotel has just went through renovations so everything is new and modern. The room was big, great views and very clean. Breakfast in the lobby was convenient and tasty, went both mornings. Parking was very convenient and adequate. Great spot to walk to local bars and restaurants. Will be staying again."

"Instructions were helpful in locating the building door. Lighting inside was a bit dim. Room was clean & comfortable. Window AC unit was helpful in cooling off the room. Communal bathroom was much bigger than expected & well-maintained. Conveniently located near Brown University campus where there was easy to find street parking that was available on the weekend."
