"This is a beautiful little spot about a 20-minute walk from downtown Paramaribo. I also stayed downtown, and can surely say I much prefer being away from the noise and crowds of the city center. Villa Famiri is in a quiet, safe neighborhood within walking distance to restaurants and shopping. You can also walk to downtown though it's not a nice walk (no sidewalks, lots of trash and standing water, lots of traffic). They have a lovely common area and pool so it's great for relaxing. No café, bar, deli, reception, newspapers, safe, luggage storage, tour guidance, daily room cleaning. The one day they cleaned the room, we returned to find the door ajar for hours.
