"This was a standout hotel for our Italy trip. The hotel is stylish with good communal areas, places to sit etc. The room was really comfortable with a balcony from which we see the lake … including a lightening storm behind the mountains The pool was really clean with lots of beds. Cool -but weather so warm that it was good The staff were friendly and polite EV charging (4 hours at approx 30 euros) Ferry was 3 mins walk and town was 15 mins walk …along an enchanting path to the beautiful town of Stresa. I understand there are a couple of local, more basic restaurants and hotel has one Would 100% recommend"

"We had an amazing stay at Hotel La Palma in Stresa! The hotel is beautiful, the location is perfect, and our entire experience was wonderful. A very special thank you to our housekeeper, Juliana, who truly made our stay even better. She was incredibly kind, attentive, and took such wonderful care of our room throughout our stay. Everything was always immaculate, and her warmth and attention to detail did not go unnoticed. We absolutely loved her! We had such a lovely time at La Palma and would happily return. Highly recommend!"

"We loved every single thing about this beautiful hotel. It sits majestically nestled in an elevated position overlooking lake Maggiore with attractive well maintained grounds. The staff were excellent at every stage and incredibly obliging. The food including breakfast was delicious. Every Thurs night is a wonderful barbecue out on the terrace with the backdrop of the gorgeous lake which was a particular highlight. There is decadence, luxury and Italian style throughout the hotel with many gorgeous rooms to enjoy on the main hotel floor. The immaculate bedroom and sumptuous bathroom we had was on the 3rd floor overlooking the lake from a wonderful balcony, a breathtaking view that is imprinted in our minds. For us a very special hotel in a beautiful location with professional exemplary friendly staff. The owner chats to guests every morning at breakfast which is a lovely personal touch. A welcome drink greets you on your arrival at the hotel and a minibar with largely soft drinks and beer is complementary and restocked every day. We also had a complementary bottle of wine in our room and every night with the turn down service some delicious petit fours appeared as an additional treat. The hotel can arrange a private boat from their own jetty to take you to the 3 Borromean islands which though an expensive luxury provides a tailored service that was extra special. A very warm thank you to All the staff who made our stay absolutely amazing. We would return in a heartbeat."

"The property has been updated to a very high (if slightly impractical) standard but some decisions are incongruous. The worst decision was to replace all the grass at the property with astroturf. To have plastic grass in an area of outstanding natural beauty is a crime. In room fixtures and fittings are top quality but again there are issues. The lighting controls are baffling and some come on and go off by themselves. The towels are not particularly nice (and there’s nowhere to hang wet ones), the toilet paper is of poor quality and there’s no conditioner provided. You only get 1GB of free WiFi and they won’t provide an iron for ‘security reasons’. Rip up the plastic grass and take care of a few wider issues and this place could be so much better. There is a lot of 5 star competition in the area and this currently feels more ‘Dubai’ than ‘Dolce Vita’."

"A symphony of Excellence at Regina Palace Hotel. The staff were outstanding, balancing high professionalism with a warm, friendly charm. Our room was a warm, beautifully maintained sanctuary. The attention to detail was incredible; it was spotlessly clean from the pristine windows to the gorgeous decor, with freshly changed bedding and clean towels always provided. From our lovely terrace with its breathtaking mountain view. Enjoying aperitifs there and dining from the Liberty Restaurant was pure magic. The meal was outstanding, and the service was so perfectly orchestrated it felt like a beautiful piece of music. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough."

"One of the most beautiful and elegant hotels I have ever stayed in. The scenery it postcard perfect. The staff is friendly and speak good English. The breakfast wast the best I’ve ever had. Room was air conditioned, and the pool brought new life to me."
