Beautiful hotel. Beautiful views. We were in a corner room that slept 5 and it was huge! The pool is small but it had a swim up bar which was nice. It's a steep walk to a beach. The beaches in the park are a lot nicer in my opinion. I would stay here again.

The property is a well known place in Manuel Antonio and quite accessible to central areas, food, park and beach. Parking here is a challenge. Condition of property not so premium as they claim to be. Our next door was under construction and they had construction material visible and left open near our balcony. Not so safe with very small kids. The view from property is great! Breakfast was decent. Overall could do better in terms of ambience.

Hotel is nice. View is amazing. Staff is super nice and friendly. Rooms are big. Only downfall- No hot water the first night. Had to use another room to shower. Other than that the stabs was great & good location.

The staff was excellent. The air conditioning in the room was good but the rooms could use updating. There were no chairs or trashcans in the room and they had microfiber bath towels. The towels were new but awful to dry off with. If they try and put you in rooms 106 & 107, please ask them to move you. The stairs up to these rooms was challenging and the hallway was terribly, terribly HOT. Again, the staff was super and the breakfast was good.

The staff were great and food was good. The room was large and had a great view of the ocean (and the parking lot) but was outdated. The toilet made noises that made it difficult to sleep but after 2 requests to have it fixed the problem remained. Our safe broke and we waited hours to get it fixed. The information sheet we received on arrival said happy hour included 2 for 1 drinks but they failed to mention it is only valid at the pool bar, not the restaurant bar. Unfortunately we didn’t realize this until we got the bill.

This hotel has very beautiful views on Manual Antonio beach. The room that we stayed had very nice view, but needs some work. Shower was leaking, door in shower was broken, mattress and pillows were very old and uncomfortable. The food in the restaurant was good, but had limited choices.

We had a great experience at the hotel. The view was amazing, the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast and the dinners were extremely good! The rooms were spacious and clean- would definitely recommend. We will stay here again on our next trip to Costa Rica

Do not stay here. The bed was broken and when we asked for assistance we were told there were no more rooms. Towels and sheets were pilled, stained, and edges frayed. The food was poor quality and the room was in poor repair (tv hanging sideways off wall and non-usable, painting slipped down from frame with tape showing, stool cracked and old. Location is nice and so is the view…just find a different hotel in this area (there are tons). Very disappointed.

We booked triple ocean view room for 3 nights. We were in a room which was renovated. We were in room 202, which has a huge building in front of the balcony. However, you could see I’ll see the ocean to the right and left of the building. The room should have been less than the 3rd floor room because of the obstructed view. The room was spacious for 3 people, 2 beds and a sofa, refrigerator, coffeemaker and coffee table. However, they charge you $2 for the coffee pod. They did have free coffee in the lobby. Breakfast was great. Many choices and the taste and service was great in dining area. It had beautiful view. Front staff was helpful. There was parking on property, but the entrance is steep and it curves. My most favorite place was the rooftop. During the day, you can see ocean on both sides. In the evening, it was so pleasant at the rooftop that we played cards. It was lovely, we saw stars and sunset colors from there. We liked the location of the hotel. Only 5-8 minutes driving to all key places to visit. Thank you!!

The view from our balcony was spectacular! The room was spacious with a large bathroom, separate kitchen area, coffee machine, couch, and a huge Smart TV. We really enjoyed the free breakfast, which had several choices and was delicious and plentyful. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful, along with Roy at the pool bar, and the housekeeping ladies. The only disappointment was the waiter in the restaurant, who always had a scowl on his face and seemed to dislike both tourists and his job.......

Staff was wonderful especially Roy Property is clean but in need of renovation and the road to the property is under construction making walking to the bus and amenities a bit precarious. Overall a great experience.

This is a nice hotel but the road to it is quite bumpy so be aware of that if you hire a car. Definitely worth booking a room with an ocean view as the view is fabulous! Breakfast is excellent but the service was often quite slow even when there weren't many people in the restaurant. The pool is a decent size and we had it pretty much to oursleves on most days. Staff are friendly and helpful. Uber is pretty cheap in the area for trips to local restaurants etc. - walking anywhere from the hotel is not easy because of the steep roads! Overall, I would reccommend this hotel.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5 — Absolutely Incredible Stay at Layan Hotel! Our experience at Layan Hotel in Costa Rica was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond anything you’d normally expect from a resort. Every interaction felt warm, personal, and genuinely caring. The views were breathtaking. Each morning we watched Costa Rica’s beautiful birds soaring right past our balcony with the Pacific shimmering behind them — absolutely stunning and unforgettable. A very special thank you to Roy and Justin. These two truly took care of us in ways we never expected. Their kindness, attention to detail, and willingness to help made our stay feel magical. The location is fantastic — close to everything, making it easy to explore the entire area within just a few minutes. The staff also gave great recommendations for tours and local spots. We did the horseback waterfall tour, and it completely blew our minds. The guides were incredibly knowledgeable, and the whole experience felt authentic and unforgettable. And the food… wow. The complimentary breakfast was the best we’ve had in all of Costa Rica, and we’ve been here for six weeks! Every meal was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. We originally booked 5 nights at Layan but ended up staying 10 because they truly spoiled us. The hotel is also spotlessly clean and beds are super comfortable which made the experience even more fantastic. Layan Hotel exceeded every expectation.
