"The location of the hotel is perfect , literally on the doorstep of Lincoln Cathedral and the castle. Parking is opposite to the hotel - although it is a public car park and a fee charged by meter upto 24hour parking available. The hotel itself is lovely, well presented and very clean. "Absolutely revolting. The corridor smelt of urine. The amount of cobwebs in the room was a joke. There was several millimetres of dust on the lampshade, the paint was peeling off the walls in large patches, the cheap flat pack furniture was all chipped which really stood out as it was all dark grey/black and the paint in the bathroom had given up and gone home. "We had a cosy room for one night, it was small but spotless. Good sized bathroom. Staff helpful and pleasant. Breakfast in the morning was plentiful and in beautifully decorated room 😍"

"We paid, as you can see. We turned up around an hour after booking to check in. We were completely ignored by passing staff regardless of the fact that there were four of us standing around with our bags to check in. We eventually got greeted by an abrupt member of staff. "We had a great time. Staff were great (mostly) and really helpful and friendly. Food in the restaurant was excellent, my wife and I loved every dish. The bar was well stocked with some great (and favourite) scotch so that was a bonus. We arrived Friday and left Sunday and on the Saturday we had a late lunch which was lovely, sat outside in the garden with the local church in view.
