The bathroom was in need of some age-related repairs. Otherwise, a great clean room. Nice look on the outside. Easily accessible, though a bit outside of town. Most reasonably priced properties are within an hour's drive of Churchill Downs on Derby weekend. That was an asset!"

"We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. Maple Hill is a piece of living history and it was a privilege to stay there. The owners are excellent stewards of this absolute gem. Our room was huge and very comfortable. Every detail in the house is stunning. We took time to look at everything inside and outside so that we could absorb the beauty of the home and property. And the breakfast was BETTER than a restaurant! Getting dessert in the evening was such a lovely treat and a romantic...

"The history of The Talbott Inn is very interesting. It was so cool to stay in an inn with such a rich history. I stayed in the Jesse James room and I loved it. Not a big room but was perfectly comfortable and very quiet. It was great having a historic room with modern amenities. Highly recommend staying at The Talbott Inn if you love American history."

"The first room we were given had some weird splatter on the ceiling, tv and floor. There was also a wasp in the room. We asked for a diff room this one was much cleaner but smelt like cat pee."
