I wish I would have known it was being renovated and there was construction all around us. I wish we could have used the fireplace.

Construction on all rooms but 5. Originally told me 15$ total extra cost for animals. Turned out it was 15$ per night let animal!

It was quiet even with rooms under construction / remodel. Good location for walking. Clean rooms.

Half the property was under construction as the crew was blasting music throughout the day. The walls were thin and our neighbors were disruptive. Parking was terrible due to the construction materials being staged there.

Quirky place that’s a little run down but the uniqueness made up for it. Great location, middle of town. You can walk very easily to all things in red river

Rough Start but pleasant stay.
Eventually, this hotel will be pretty good. But right now, it's chaos. They have no phones in the room. There is no way to call the desk. The phone number they had in the room went to a past owner! Why did we need to call the front desk? THERE WAS NO HEAT IN THE ROOM. We slept in our clothes. When we went into the office the next day, they gave us the correct phone number and a discount for our stay, so rather than switching motels, we stayed. They replaced the batteries on the thermostat and put new information in the room.

Rooms were clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful. They are just starting a big remodel of half the rooms so it will be much newer in the rooms soon. Enjoyed our stay

Dumpsters and thrown out furniture in the parking lot right by our room. Peeling paint on the room entrance door. The ceiling light over the table does not work despite changing lightbulb. They should not be booking rooms until renovation done

I think on big events you should get a Ponderosa parking pass for property parking. We had a big truck with a trailer and guest from the event driving normal cars were parking in the Ponderosa “Trailer parking only” parking spots on property. Staying in this hotel we had to park wayyyyy down at the end of Main Street and walk to our hotel. These parking spots should be more monitored for paying guests only.

Property was dated, needs a little touch up, but was still cozy and convenient to local area. Room was clean, bed was comfortable. Bathroom needs a cosmetic makeover, but is functional. Staff was “Great” and made check in a breeze. Price is reasonable Would stay again, and would recommend it to others, with the above advice and expectations.

The hotel is old and falling apart. Bed was rock hard. What angered me the most is when I'm sitting in the caved-in futon, my husband is dressing, and the cleaning lady's MOTHER freakin came into our room WITHOUT KNOCKING!!!!! Then had the audacity to be rude to me about it!!!

We'd stay here again. Great value
Over all, we enjoyed our stay. It is basically smack dab in the middle of town, so easy walking distance around town. Place was clean. Front office staff was nice, as well as the house keeping staff. The main parking lot is a bit cramped, Ave if you leave for any reason, the chances of having a place to repair is slim to none, so you have to be mindful of that. Our room had a hot water heater in the closet, which made popping noises all throughout the night, which made it tough to sleep through the night, at times. That was really the only negative. I'd stay there again.
