It was a really great location and in walking distance to the beach and boardwalk. We also enjoyed that it was pet friendly. However it could have been a little cleaner. Some on the blankets had stains and most of the pillows had no pillow cases. The tv in both rooms rarely worked and the floor had black dog hair all over. It’d be a really nice place if they did some upgrading. For over $200 a night I thought it would have been a little nicer. We enjoyed ourselves and made the best of the time we stayed.

The rooms were clean, spacious, and comfortable. The location was close to the beach, yet conversely, it was also a serene location. The pool, hot tub, outdoor shower, and drying bars were all great amenities, and so were the lounge, ice machine, and self-serve station downstairs. The bikes and beach chairs (that come with locks, yes), were an inspiring amenity I would love to see in more short-term rentals, and my partner and I enjoyed using them to get around during our stay. The owners were very accommodating, and helped us out upon arrival with everything we needed and were a text away if we had any additional questions or concerns. If you're visiting Rehoboth Beach, I would consider this spot is a hidden gem.

Loved the location in a quiet residential area away from the crowds. Definitely the most pet friendly place we have stayed without having to give up the luxuries you often do for a pet friendly stay. The dogs are even pampered with bowls, towels and treats! Perfect area to walk them along the canal across the street from the inn. Within walking distance to the main street and great restaurants. Definitely will be returning now that we have found this gem!

Close to downtown - the main section where many shops and restaurants are located (Rehoboth Ave). Very clean and staff very pleasant. Wished there was a tub, but they are rare these days. LOVED the french doors that opened to the balcony with the tall Adirondack style beach chairs.

Amazing stay, wonderful staff. Traveled with our dog and it was a short getaway trip as a couple. We enjoyed our time and beach was a short drive. Walking distance to breakfast and coffee restaurants. Did a lot of shopping but we drive to shop to have our car for storing stuff but you could walk to some shops.

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Canal side Inn. So did my furry companion Frankie, who was well greeted by the owners and other pets alike. Guests were equally friendly, those with 2 feet. The room was lovely for a single traveler and dog. It was especially nice being in a residential neighborhood with the canal right outside the doorstep, lovely scenery, easy walking distance to Rehoboth Beach Perfect four-day vacation to clear the mind with easy access to all that you would want in Rehobeth.

Room was clean and comfortable on a very quiet street but walking distance to coffee and restaurants. Great place to walk the dog. Only downside was that room had hard floors with no rugs so sound really traveled. I could hear every coming and going in the hallway.

This was our first visit to Canalside Inn. We will be back.the staff, owners, seemed eager to assist us. It is located off of the beaten pass but within Rehoboth proper which made it easy to ger around. The beach and boardwalk are not very close but very walkable if you do not mind walking. Rehoboth is a very dog friendly town and we found several restaurants we could take the puppy to. We spent a day at Gordons Pond beach with the puppy. She loved it as well as staying at the hotel! The room was clean and bright. The bed was comfortable and the shower was great! We truly enjoyed our stay there If you would have a larger group then we did there is a large room there with a full kitchen, games, books and TV for you to use. They have bikes, beach chairs and beach umbrellas for you to use although we did not use them. The pool and hot tub looked good although we did not use them ether. Overall it is a great place to stay especially of you bring your puppy along!

Pet friendly, small and very easy. Glad I could go directly to the room without waiting due to having dogs. Wish rooms had a little more back support (headboard, pillows), lighting/AC wasn't working well and hot tub did break but staff was great in accommodating as best they could. Love how pet friendly they are, dogs had an amazing time, best dog friendly hotel I've been to (even option for a large quiet basement suite if your pup is reactive). It is also a great walk to the beach or to take a bike (dogs are allowed on the boardwalk/beach from late September to early May) but even just the trails and dog friendly restaurants it is worth a stay if you have furry friends!
